PRESIDENT’S CORNER
TAXI SUBSIDY $10
It’s now a year since I took over as President of the Howick Club
and I’d like to express my appreciation to all those who have
supported me.
We would not have the finest club in the country if it wasn’t for
the committee and all those who volunteer, the commitment,
time and effort that they put in is invaluable.
The Club AGM will be held on Sunday 31 May at 11am and I
encourage all full members to attend.
With regret we accept the resignation of Tom Walker and Steve
Scott from the Committee. Tom has been on the Committee for
over 25 years and was President and Vice President during his
time of service. He has made an immeasurable contribution in
the running of this Club. Thank you Tom.
Thanks also goes to Steve for all the time and effort he has made
during his 5 years on Committee.
For all you wine and food connoisseurs we have a Wine and
Food appreciation dinner coming up on the 19th June and also a
special Fundraiser on the 20th June with a Fantastic Band.

ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTIONS

QUEEN’S BIRTHDAY
All invoices for the annual subscriptions will be emailed/
posted Wednesday 3 June, after the AGM.
To be eligible for the discount, payment MUST be received
at this office no later than Tuesday 30 June with the FINAL
DATE FOR PAYMENT Friday 31 July.
NO REMINDERS WILL BE SENT.
ON LINE PAYMENTS
To make paying your subs easier you can pay on-line.
Please visit our website www.howickclub.co.nz click on
membership and follow the links to pay your subs on line.
Please ensure you include your membership number
with all modes of payment.
The office hours are 8.30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Outside of these hours, please leave your subs at
reception.
DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE
Nomination forms for the Disciplinary Committee are
available from the office. Every candidate for this office
must have been a member for at least two years prior to
nomination.
The election will take place on 13 June, 2015 between the
hours of 11.00am and 6.00pm. Nominations close 5 June
2015.
BREATHALYSER
We now have a breathalyser unit located in the Sports Bar.
At a minimal cost of $2 you’ll know whether you have
exceeded your alcohol limit.
SIGNING IN YOUR GUESTS
It is a requirement of the District Licencing Agency that all visitors
over the age of 18 years must be signed in.
As a matter of courtesy, please make sure your guests are
aware that they must produce their sign-in chit at the bar when
purchasing drinks.
