Pat Basu, M.D., M.B.A., currently serves as Chief Medical
Officer of Doctor on Demand, a national web based service
that allows patients to video consult over any mobile device
with a real, live doctor for medical advice, diagnosis,
prescription and therapy. Previously, Dr. Basu served as
Chief Operating Officer, Chief Medical Officer and a
Director on the Board of Virtual Radiologic. He lead nearly
1,000 professionals at vRad which delivered 24/7/365
medical care to approximately 8 million patients at over
half of the nation’s hospitals. He helped it grow into the

Prior to this executive position, Dr. Basu served as White
House Fellow where he held a Top Secret Security

and public service, the White House Fellows’ almost 500
alumni include Cabinet Secretaries, Governors, Senators,
Generals, University leaders and Fortune 500 CEOs. Since
2011, Dr. Basu has been invited to give keynote addresses
on healthcare and policy at over 50 corporations,
universities, state and professional societies. He has served
as visiting or adjunct faculty at 5 major universities.

Thomas Osborne, MD is the Director of Medical Informatics
at Virtual Radiologic (vRad) which is the largest
telemedicine company in the world.
Dr. Osborne earned his medical degree from Dartmouth
Medical School. He then went on to complete his radiology
residency at Harvard Medical School's Mount Auburn
Hospital and his neuroradiology fellowship at Harvard
Medical School's Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Osborne has been working at the interface of computer
technology, biological science and business for nearly 20
years. His early experience has included leading complex
multimedia science-technology projects for famous
scientists such as Stephen Hawking. Most recently, Dr.
Osborne's team at vRad is designing an enterprise wide
t e c h n o l o gy p l a t fo r m t o fa c i l i t a t e co m p a ny w i d e
collaboration, communication, analytics and efficiency.

teams that develop groundbreaking applications to
improve healthcare and advance healthcare research.
Ed received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer
Science from the University of California, Davis and a
Master of Science Degree in Healthcare Information

Shelly Glenn leads Florida Cancer Specialists' marketing
and referral base management initiatives. Shelly joined
FCS in 2012 bringing more than 20 years of healthcare

customer service. Prior to joining FCS, Shelly was Vice

Gaurav Singal, M.D., is an attending physician at
Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, and Director,
Innovations Unit at Foundation Medicine, where he leads
the design and development of technology and datacentric products. Specifically, Dr. Singal has led Foundation
Medicine's primary technology product offering, the
Interactive Cancer Explorer® (ICE 2), which is a physicianfacing clinical decision support and patient management
platform that incorporates real world outcomes collection
to facilitate real-time clinical decision making.
Joseph D. Moser
SVP, Medical Affairs
Anne Arundel Medical Center
Joe Moser practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology in
Annapolis Maryland for 22 years and served in several
medical staff roles before becoming Sr. Vice President for
Medical Affairs at Anne Arundel Medical Center in 1997. He
created the health system’s outcomes analysis program in
2001 and its research institute in 2008. He participated in
the creation of the Johns Hopkins Clinical Research
Network and is on its Executive Committee.

Shelly received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing
from Lehigh University, as well as a Global Leadership
designation from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton
School. Dedicated to increasing cancer awareness and
education, Shelly currently serves on the Board of Directors
of the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation, Jack & Jill
Late Stage Cancer Foundation, LLS Suncoast Chapter
Board of Trustees, and as both Legislative Committee
Member and Chair of the Marketing & Communications
Committee for the Florida Society of Clinical Oncology
(FLASCO). She was 2013 Co-Chair of American Cancer
Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in
Sarasota/Manatee and was named the 2014 Leukemia &
Lymphoma Society’s Woman of the Year.

degree in science writing and communication from MIT.
Emily Kagan Trenchard is the Director of Web Technology
and Design for the North Shore-LIJ Health System. For 10
years she has lead teams in designing and implementing
the large-scale web applications necessary to connect
patients to care, and to keep businesses competitive in a
time of radical change.

Boston Children’s Hospital
Consulting experience includes working with State
governments to help them prepare for the ACA changes
and to assist with Medicaid contracts. Prior to that, worked
in global health consulting helping foundations and
grantees in program strategy and outcomes analysis.
Health tech professional with management consulting,
communications and product management experience.
Successfully managed and implemented healthcare
programs utilizing innovative technologies - Virtual Health
Coaches and mobile technologies. My work around Virtual
Health Coaches includes researching the effectiveness of
patients interacting with virtual characters in a healthsetting.
Will Yu
Director
Foundation for Healthcare
Wil Yu's current work focuses on health IT, data analytics,
and related emerging technologies. He leads innovation
strategy and business development efforts at Lumiata - a
venture-backed startup building the first medical graph in
healthcare delivering predictive analytics via an API.
Previously at the U.S. Department of Health and Human
Services, he led nationwide healthcare innovation efforts.
At the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT
(ONC), he headed several grant programs funding
breakthrough developments in health information
technology.
Recently, he co-founded The Foundation for Healthcare
Innovation, dedicated to supporting healthcare innovation
adoption and diffusion efforts. He is engaged in several
collaborations designed to foster both national care
d e l i ve r y t r a n s f o r m a t i o n a n d i n c r e a s e d p a t i e n t
engagement. He is also an editor for a new academic
journal focused on care delivery science and patient
engagement
