Jenelle is currently Team Leader— In her work life, Jenelle is Controller for The Masterson Company, Inc. In her position, her responsibilities span Superior Member Value for our Greater Milwaukee Chapter. She has been a font over department expenses, costing, fixed assets, monthly and yearly closings, financial statements, yearly audits, the of great suggestions, and has done an amazing amount of work to help get this Chapter moving. She has been ERP system, and maintaining relationships with outside firms including Banks and Law Offices. She also works directly instrumental in getting our Chapter more active on LinkedIn, and has been posting our events not only on our IMA with the company’s Tax Firm, which includes preparing the Research and Development Tax Credit. HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTOR’S MINTUES— JANUARY 2015 A Board meeting was held on February 23rd, 2015. We had Steve Weiss, Senior VP-Global Membership, Marketing & Business Development with us from IMA Global. Current Board members were asked to continue to serve for 2015-2016 year, and to recruit new members & leaders. Financials & Minutes that were complete were reviewed and approved by the Board. We are still in need of sponsors to assist with Student night, both donations to pay for student dinners, and for companies to have a booth at our meeting. With attendance not where we would like it to be we engaged Steve for advice on what he has seen working with local Chapters and Global. In his short stay in Milwaukee he became aware of several places that would be ‘hip’ for a Social like the Iron Horse, and recommended we give a Social another try. He also let us know the trends for IMA in general, and for many professional org’s in the USA. IMA membership is holding, where large organizations like the AICPA are experiences declining membership. With Steve’s knowledge & advise we will continue to try new events and locations and not be discouraged as membership for many has been lower in recent years. Mr. Mark Hogan, an Illinois CPA, whose experience ranges from public accounting (Ernst & Young) to Controller & Treasurer at Nicor National, to teaching will guide us thru the recent changes surrounding Revenue Recognition. While in town, Steve also made a corporate visit to Ogden & Co. Real Estate, where he met with the accounting staff and discussed IMA and the CMA.
