The College, located strategically at Subang Jaya, Selangor and its second centre at Ayer Keroh, Melaka, assumes the responsibility to train and develop a new generation of nurses and allied health professionals. With support of this Group of Hospitals, the College has a long standing reputation in providing nursing education, which is well recognised locally and internationally. Entry Requirements •Pass in SPM / SPMV with a pass in English •Pass in PMR with minimum 2 years working experience •Males and females aged between 18 - 35 8. Reporting promptly any changes in patient’s general condition to their supervisors. 9. Assisting the trained nurses in simple unsterile procedures. 10. Performing basic first aid if needed. 11. Alerting the trained nurses in emergencies. Programme Description This programme prepares the Patient Care Assistant (PCA) personnel to work in both residential, community and hospital settings to assist in meeting the basic healthcare needs of the clients including caring for them. The acquired skill sets will also help to improve their employability within the healthcare facilities. Job Description: Overview PCAs work under the supervision of trained nurses and may be responsible in providing about 80% - 90% of personalised care required by the patient or resident. 12.
