IMPORTANCE AND SCOPE
COURSE FACULTY
Antenna is an important component in
wireless communication. Recently, huge
research activities are going on to achieve
many advanced features of Microwave
Antenna. This course will provide detail
information about the basic principles and
operations of advanced microwave
antennas as well as presents trends in
antenna engineering. The proposed short
term
course
will
address
these
requirements thorough its lectures and
practical.
The entire course will be covered by the
expert faculty members of ISM Dhanbad
and a few experts from industry.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZER
The course will be organized by the
Department of Electronics Engineering,
Indian School of Mines – Dhanbad. The
Indian School of Mines (ISM) was
formally established in the year of 1926.
In 1967, it was granted the status of a
deemed to be university. The department
of Electronics Engineering was established
in 1976 as supporting department and it
became a faculty department in 1998. At
present the Department is in full pace to
develop up to date facilities in RF &
Microwave Engineering and Antenna.
Dhanbad is an important Railway station
in Jharkhand. It is well connected to
almost all parts of the country. The
Institute is about 3 Kms. away from
Dhanbad Railway Station. Taxis, Autorickshaws, cycle rickshaws are available
as transport.
ACCOMMODATION
Limited shared accommodation is available
in the Executive Development Center of the
institute and will be provided to the
participants on receipt of request and
payment of registration fee.

Rs. 10,000/- (Without Accommodation)
Rs. 15,000/- (With Accommodation)
ISM Full time Research Scholars: Rs. 3,000/The registration fee includes course kit, course
material and other institutional amenities
including laboratory facilities. The registration
with accommodation includes accommodation
charges on twin sharing basis as well as all
regular meal charges during the course period
in addition to the above.
No TA / DA will be paid.
The payment in the form of account payee
Demand Draft drawn in favor of “Registrar,
INDIAN SCHOOL OF MINES” payable at
SBI, ISM Campus Branch, Dhanbad (Branch
Code – 1641) and duly filled registration form
should be sent to any of the he coordinators on or
before 16th June, 2015

SPEED POST. Scanned copy of the filled-in
registration form should be sent by email.
Certificates will be issued only after the
completion of the program.
