WHY IZWENI SECURE?
“We believe the following aspect of our “Service Delivery” standards differentiates our Company from
other security providers”
 Location: All operations are managed and monitored from our office situated in Alberton.
 Control room: We have a control room manned 24/7/365.
 Pre-deployment training: Before a security officer is deployed to a site he/she undergoes a two
week training program.
 “Client Liaison”: All managers are required to visit our clients on a regular basis, thereby
ensuring open, constructive and efficient communication channels.
 Management Services: Our “Management Services Department” oversee all administrative and
support services, enabling the Shift managers and the General Manager to concentrate on service
delivery.
 Shift Supervisors: Shift supervisors are experienced, professional and well trained, with
previous experience at some of the larger guarding and reaction companies. They are not your
run-of-the-mill officers but function as individuals who can take initiative and pro-actively serve
our clients.
MEASURES IMPLEMENTED TO ENSURE PROFESSIONAL AND EFFECTIVE SERVICE
DELIVERY:
 Compliance with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority requirements and all other
statutory requirements.
 Regular in-house training sessions.
 Site audits
 Service delivery audits, during client consultations.
 Strict, but fair implementation of policies and procedures.
 Honesty testing – to ensure our staff’s honesty , we regularly conduct “honesty tests” , during
which we send undercover operatives to visit sites and attempt to entice the security officers
posted there to assist with crimes. A form of legal “entrapment”.
HUMAN RESOURCES
RECRUITMENT POLICY
Having the right employee on site, as required by a client is of the utmost importance to us. In view of
this, we implement the following recruitment model:

in a disciplined and high-risk environment.
 Reference checks with previous employers as well as verification of their security qualifications
as well as verifying criminal records.
 The following requirements and tests are considered:
o
Health and fitness
o
Criminal checks
o
Pre-employment voice stress

Before a security officer is deployed he/she undergoes a two week training course.
Lectures (In-house training): During the first week of training, candidates study the following subjects:

OPERATIONS
GUARDING FUNCTION
In addition to the duties being performed by the Security Officers at each site, the following processes are
implemented to ensure safety and security at the sites:
We have a control room situated in Alberton, from where we manage all operations.
Each site reports to our control room every 30 minutes. This ensures that the control room personnel are
informed of the situation on site at all times.
The control room issues a “password” every night; these are used to ensure that unauthorised persons do
not report to our control room, e.g. during a robbery where the guards are tied up.
 The Shift Supervisors are on duty 24 hours a day. These Managers visits sites during their shift
period, at irregular intervals especially during high risk times (Nights, month ends), thus ensuring
visibility at your site as well as enforcement of our disciplinary code. We currently have three
vehicles on duty 24/7/365.
 Clients are provided with a monthly report, detailing visits to the sites by our senior personnel,
as well as any other issues of which cognisance should be taken.
 A Site operating procedure is implemented at each site we manage. These procedures are drawn
up in conjunction with the client, and prescribe the needs and expectations of the client. The
following aspects are addressed:
- Site administration (Access control)
- Safety and Security procedures
- Dress code
- Client instructions / requirements
- Discipline
- Access control
- Customer care
- Visitor procedures
Accountability: All operational vehicles are fitted with live satellite tracking systems {Skytrax}. These
systems monitor vehicle movements 24/7, ensuring that site visits are done timeously and as requested by
clients.
Managerial visits: A manger is on standby every night, the standby duties include:
- Site visits (After hours)
- Ensuring that postings are done on time and according to site specifications
