JAYCO’S CAMPER RANGE – NEW STYLING, COLOUR
SCHEMES & MORE FEATURES
Refreshed exterior styling, colour
schemes and features are among the
highlights of Jayco’s 2015 Camper Trailer
range. Naturally, it retains all the proven
fundamentals that have won it 80 per
cent of market share in the Camper
Trailer category.
With sleeping spaces that go from two
in the Penguin model through to eight in
an Eagle or Swan (when an optional bed
converter is added), it’s no surprise that
Jayco’s Camper Trailers have become the
initial buy for young families taking to the
world of recreational camping.
Also eminently practical is the travel
height. All seven touring models are a
modest 1660mm and all outback models
just 1910mm, making for easy towing
and less wind drag, even when the towing car is a moderate four-cylinder vehicle.
When the front and rear are fully extended for camping, lengths run from 4980mm for the Swift through to an impressive
6505mm for the Flamingo and Swan.
Then there are the classic Jayco features: The hot dipped galvanised ‘Endurance Chassis’ which is lightweight yet super strong,
the Jayco quad layer maxiframe which is both stronger and lighter than conventional ‘timber & tin’ aluminium clad Rvs, electric
brakes and tough double stitched Bradmill canvas. For strength and ease of maintenance, there’s a fibreglass exterior with smart
new front and rear mould styling.
Inside the spacious interior the list of standards is lengthy: 4-burner gas grill with 1 x 240V hotplate (N/A on Swift), innerspring
mattresses, fire extinguisher, modern 12v LED power-saving lighting, 3-way fridge and large easy rolling storage drawers.
All Jayco Camper Trailers are also available in rugged Outback models, featuring Jayco’s JTech suspension and a 100AH battery
plus the option of 16-inch heavy-duty wheels and shock-proof coupling.
The roof-lifter system is fully-enclosed above the floor to eliminate the chance of damage from road debris or the weather, and
the winch is repositioned to the rear to improve function and boot space.
Steel pulleys with built-in bearings make the cables track accurately and resist wearing out. An automatic brake courtesy of
an inbuilt clutch on the winch helps prevent the sturdy roof from slipping as it elevates. The lifter handle is positioned at a
comfortable height and its low ratio gearing makes the wind-up easy for just about anyone.
With a large selection of décor options, coupled with Jaycos one-year warranty and three year roadside assist, it’s easy to see
why the Jayco Camper Trailer is the top-selling RV in Australia.
