The Jewish Home Family is the organizational parent of the Jewish Home at Rockleigh, Jewish Home Assisted Living, Jewish Home Foundation and Jewish Home at Home. It oversees the activities, performance and financial health of its constituent organizations and attempts to identify, define and address those areas in which the needs of the elderly remain unmet. ◆ What is the Jewish Home Foundation? The Jewish Home Foundation is the organization responsible for raising the necessary philanthropic funds that are allocated to the facilities and programs run by the Jewish Home entities. ◆ Is the Jewish Home a Not-For-Profit? All of the Jewish Home entities are 501(c)3 not-for-profit organizations, and contributions made through the Jewish Home Foundation are tax-deductible as permitted by law. ◆ Who Benefits from the Jewish Homes' Facilities and Programs? Seniors or infirmed individuals in need of sub-acute care, speech, occupational or physical rehabilitation, long-term care, respite care, hospice care, assisted living, adult day healthcare or at-home geriatric care services can take advantage of the Jewish Homes' care. Services are available without regard to race, religion or financial ability. ◆ How Many Seniors Require Financial Assistance for their care? Approximately 45% of our Jewish Home at Rockleigh residents receive Medicaid (less than ½ the Home's cost), and 85% of our Adult Day Health Care clients are subsidized. We also offer subsidized services to eligible Jewish Home at Home clients. ◆ What is the Jewish Home Golf, Tennis & Card Outing? An annual event, now in its 21st year, is a day-long fundraising event to benefit the programs and services the Jewish Homes provide to the elderly in the community. ◆ How are the funds from the Golf, Tennis & Card Outing Used? The proceeds from the fundraising event go to the Jewish Home Foundation. The Jewish Home Family board then allocates funding to the operational budgets of the Jewish Home at Rockleigh, Jewish Home Assisted Living and the Jewish Home at Home entities. ◆ How can I support the Golf, Tennis & Card Outing? Members of the community can play golf ($575), tennis ($350), participate in the bridge, canasta and mahjongg tournament ($180) or attend the evening cocktail & dinner reception ($180). You can also provide an array of Sponsorships ranging from $250 to $10,000. ◆ How can my company support the Golf, Tennis & Card Outing? Most companies are very willing to support our community's eldercare services by becoming a Sponsor or sending participants. Your own personal support can be doubled if your company has a matching gift program. ◆ How many members of the community support the Golf, Tennis & Card Outing each year? Over the years, thousands of individuals and companies have supported this great event.
