2015 E.X.P.L.O.R.E. Summer Programs Exciting Programs, Learning Opportunities, and Rewarding Experiences June 29 – July 31, 2015 Students and their friends from area schools are once again invited to "E.X.P.L.O.R.E." (Exciting Programs, Learning Opportunities, and Rewarding Experiences) at St. John de la Salle Catholic Academy. For five consecutive weeks, students in three educational learning communities (Primary, Junior, and the Middle School) will experience the freedom to discover and undertake one-of-a-kind programs focused on enhancing confidence, building leadership skills, inspiring creativity, or serving the greater community, just to name a few. Field trips, hands-on workshops, and awesome surprises fill every week and almost every program! Since we want to ensure a top-notch, unbeatable experience for each child, there is a strict limit of 30-35 students per program including Summer School. We are expecting spaces to fill up very fast. Discounts are available for those who sign up early before April 30, 2015! Summer School (Sylvan Learning): Kindergarten – 8th Grade St. John de la Salle Catholic Academy in conjunction with Sylvan learning will be offering a summer school program that is for current K – 8 students (Title I and Non-Title I) who would like to get a jump start on next year’s learning! The program provides for both reinforcement of learned skills and remedial assistance over the summer. The summer school classroom teachers are Sylvan trained and use effective and meaningful practices to improve students reading, math and writing skills. Classes are broken into grade level groups and are generally limited to a 12:1 student-teacher ratio. Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 12:00pm Classes are broken down by grade level. Each program will have theme-based activities each week that will include age-appropriate activities, events, field trips, etc. Each week is carefully coordinated with fun and excitement!
