Key Priorities

Make Your Vote Count
Eakring residents have told me that my main priorities should be:
%
0
4. The eyesores in our ward
need removing or repairing.
Again photographic evidence
will be provided to the
Council.
1. Supporting the
Independent Mayor to
ensure that there is no
increase in the Mansfield
part of your Council Tax
bill.
5.Traffic calming measures
need to be appropriate and
evaluated. I have already
submitted a FOI request to
Nottinghamshire Police about
one specific concern that has
been raised with me.
2. All the pot holes in the
Eakring ward need to be
repaired. If elected I will
use my ward allowance to
help make this happen
3. Litter remains an
issue for many residents.
Photographic evidence
will be provided to the
Council to identify and
remove rubbish.
6. Crime is a key issue. I have
already met with the Beat
Officer that covers the ward
and will be working with that
team to improve things.
On every key issue that comes before the Council
You might ask how?
Simple really. By using all available means i.e. letters, faxes, phone calls, and the technology
now available, such as text voting, e-mails, newspaper & radio voting and internet voting
and of course social media, everyone in the Eakring ward will be able to register their views
with me which will then be aggregated to determine how I will vote at the District Council
on all the key issues.
My Pledge to Eakring Ward Residents
If I am fortunate to be elected to serve your interests in the Eakring ward I pledge to be
available to everyone in the Eakring Ward.
I will serve the people of Eakring ward first, and always.

Majority Vote
If elected I will set up a
dedicated neighbourhood
watch scheme for the
Eakring ward.
I have lived in Mansfield since
1979 when I joined the Chad.
As the Chad’s Managing
Director from 1986 until July
2000 I played a prominent
part in local community
activities across the District
and I continue to do so in
many voluntary organisations.
I am particularly proud of
my involvement in bringing
DARE to Nottinghamshire.
I am married to Sharon and
have four grown up children
who all live in Mansfield. I am
passionate about Mansfield
and now run my own small
• Stewart Rickersey business consultancy.
I am proud of the part I played in forcing the Council
to hold a Referendum in 2000 and to have followed
up that victory by getting Tony Egginton elected as
our first Independent Mayor, and then helping him to
be elected on two further occasions. A vote for me
on May 7th will maintain the change that our district
needs to continue its development and achieve
its aspiration of being a district where people can
succeed.

KEEP PARTY POLITICS OUT OF MANSFIELD
Vote Independent
Don’t allow the hard work since an Independent Mayor was elected in
2002 to run our town to be undone by a return to the politics driven by
the Labour Party dogma that blighted Mansfield
Independent thought... Independent voting... Independent action... and Independent results means
a Council led by an Independent Mayor has
created a district where people can succeed
An Independent led Council
