Habits we form in our youth tend to stay with us as we age.
Enjoy doing things that help your brain and give you skills that
create a better world for you and others. You can be a magnet
for life loving experiences; and a role model for others.

Our friends over at KEY Project in
Kahaluu have just accepted a new executive director:
KAIPO KUKAHIKO. Together they have had a busy year
already, offering free Kupuna breakfasts, a traveling
preschool, and a movie night. They have also sponsored
community work days, and begun construction on their
new facility. Check out their website www.keyproject.org

This month at KEY project:
KIPUKA CAFÉ-a culinary experience
New classes beginning April 13th, teach fundamental
kitchen and/or baking skills for those 18+.This is a great
opportunity to gain employable skills while also learning
about safety and sanitation. The only charge is registration,
$25 for one course and $35 for both courses. Call Kaipo at
380-7376 to register (space is limited).
US states as different as West Virginia and Hawaii share one

young drivers, ages 16 to 25 years, involved pot or alcohol.

Poetry Competition
Queen Lili’uokalani Children’s Center is celebrating the
Queen’s birthday with their annual poetry competition.
There will be three levels: elementary, intermediate, high
school. Entry categories: poetry, Hawaiian language, or short
stories. Winners will be published, and awarded at the
“Na Leo O Na Pua” event in August.
