NEWS, INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS
MANAGER OF THE MONTH SPONSORED BY AFORD AWARDS
At the time of going to press our penultimate set of winners has not been announced.
However there will be one new name on the winners rostrum with the awards set to be
presented on 18th April. Our thanks go to our sponsors, Aford Awards of Bearsted.
COUNTY CUP FINAL TIE
Our congratulations are extended to Metrogas and Bexley on their excellent performance
in the Kent Intermediate Challenge Shield, won 2-1 by Metrogas in front of a crowd of
just under three hundred. The match was a fine advert for Kent County League soccer.
FA CHARTER STANDARD ANNUAL HEALTH CHECK DEADLINE
A few Clubs have not completed the FA Charter Standard Annual Health Check. These
MUST be returned to your County FA otherwise your retention in the League for
season 2014/2015 will be in serious jeopardy.
REPRESENTATIVE MATCH
Despite a 1-0 defeat in our annual friendly match versus the Essex Olympian League
last month, in which we fielded nine debutants in the starting line up, the performance
of the lads was extremely encouraging and augers well for the future.
SEASON 2015-2016
If any Club is seeking to change their ground for next season then the General Secretary
MUST be notified without delay to enable a ground inspection to be undertaken.
NEW APPLICATIONS
Ten new Clubs have applied to join the main League. All of these grounds and facilities
are in the process of being inspected prior to the Clubs being interviewed with subsequent
recommendations being placed before the Annual General Meeting in June.
PRESENTATION DINNER AND DANCE
Tickets have now been distributed to all clubs and if your club has not received them
please make contact with Gavin Hoare urgently. Social Committee Chairman, Peter
Martin wishes to thank those that have confirmed they are donating a prize for the
raffle but would welcome some more!!
NOMINATIONS REQUIRED
The Management Committee are inviting nominations for our Club Long Service
Awards and the Football Association Workforce Awards. It is hoped that some of these
awards will be presented at the League’s Annual Presentation Dinner on 13th June.
The Club awards criteria being twenty years service with one Club whilst the Workforce
awards are for any valuable contribution towards the running of your Club. Please
forward brief details, in writing, to the General Secretary, Gavin Hoare, at an early date

who work tirelessly behind the scenes to assist in the smooth operation of the League.
With ninety three teams and over three thousand five hundred registered players in the
Competition it is a real credit to the dedicated band of Club people who provide a good
standard of organised football so that others may just reap some fun and enjoyment from
the game we all love.

of the season and to bring you yet more news from the NRG GYM Kent County League
in August. Summer is not that far away so re-charge those batteries, and hopefully enjoy
some sunshine ----- but also remember ---- it will soon be pre-season training!
