To enter the special circumstance for a student, perform the following steps. 1. Log in to Educator Portal. 2. Click the Test Management menu. 3. On the Test Coordination tab, make the necessary selections from the drop-down menus. Note: If the testing window has closed, click the Show expired checkbox. 4. Click Search. 5. Locate the session that needs to be updated. 6. In the Test Session Name column, click the name of the test. In the Special Circumstance column, select the applicable circumstance. Hint: You may need to scroll to the right in the list to locate the column. 9. Click the icon in the Save column. Note: Some special circumstances require additional state-level approval. Those circumstances will display the following dialog box when you save them. KITE™ | Educator Portal User Manual 2015 © The University of Kansas ATS Help Line: 785.864.3537 Or kite-support@ku.edu 12.5 Releasing Additional Stages in a Summative Test In most cases, the second stage of a summative test will be automatically released to the student after that student has completed the first stage using KITE Client. If this does not occur automatically, District and Building Test Coordinators can release the second stage by ending the test session for the previous stage. To end a test session, perform the following steps: 1. Log in to Educator Portal. 2. Click the Test Management menu. 3. Click the Test Coordination tab. 4. In the Test Session Name column, click the name of the test you need to end. 5. Click the Monitor tab. Click the box next to the student’s name whose test needs to be ended. 7. Click End Test Session. Note: Have the student check to see if they have access to the next stage of the test. Depending upon your level of access to EP, you may not have access to the webservice upload. To upload a KIDS file, perform the following steps. 1. Log in to Educator Portal. 2. Click the Site Map menu. 3. Under Data Upload, click Webservice Upload. 4. Click Upload. Note: When the upload completes, you will receive an email with the results of the upload. Any errors will be detailed in an attached spreadsheet.
