Sunday, June 7, 2:00-4:00 p.m. – a Concert by Cardinal Points and
Friends (quartet from Halifax) will take place at Shubenacadie United

Friday, June 12, 7 p.m. – Concert by the Ontario Presbyterian Chorus at
St. Andrew’s United Church, 46 Main St., Stewiacke. Freewill offering.
Wednesday, June 17, 7 p.m. – African Children’s Choir Concert at St.
James Presbyterian Church, Truro. “Helping Africa’s most vulnerable
children today, so they can help Africa tomorrow.”

Congratulations to Hana Conevska who has graduated from Acadia
University and Azra Basic who has graduated from Guelph University.
Hana and her family arrived in Brookfield from Bosnia in 1996. Azra
and her family arrived in Brookfield from Bosnia in 1998. Both
families were sponsored by Knox and Middle Stewiacke United
Churches.
Sunday, May 24, 4 p.m. – Knox United Church Choir is taking part in
Truro Ministerial’s “Make a Joyful Noise” concert this afternoon at First
United Church. Proceeds will be going to Hub House. Hope you can make
it!
Sunday, 7 p.m. – Youth Group
Monday, May 25, 6 p.m. – General U.C.W. Meeting at Middle Stewiacke
United Church beginning with supper.
Saturday, May 30, 7:30 a.m. – 12 noon - FISHERAMA. Come and enjoy
the fun for all ages at Brookfield Wetlands Park and Nature Trails.
Registration $5.00, per person, $10.00 per family. There will be PRIZES,
hot dogs, (free coffee and hot chocolate comp,of Tim Hortons ). Adults
require a license. Children under sixteen do not . Sponsored by The
Brookfield Railway Station and Heritage Society.
Saturday, May 30,9:00 - 11:00 a.m. - Perennial Plant Sale and
Rhubarb Tea. Check out the Plant Sale and stay for a rhubarb treat or just
come for a cup of tea and some delicious sweets.
Saturday, May 30, 6 p.m. - Terry Fox Supper and Fashion Show
at Knox United Church Hall. Mens and Ladies fashions by Etcetera.
Tickets are $20.00 from Terry Fox committee members or call
672-2427, or 673-2771. 35 Mystery Bags will be sold for $10 each.
Sunday, May 31, 7 p.m. - Spring Ring 2015 at First United! Come and
join the First United Handbell Ensemble and St. James Presbyterian
Handbell Choir for an evening of handbell music. Featuring solo pieces by
each group and combined numbers. Admission by donation; proceeds to
go to a joint Mission project.
