behalf of The Los Angeles Fund for Public Education
(LA Fund) through a fundraising event or initiative.
“A few dollars invested in a young
person today pays off so much in the
life of a city and the life of a young
person later in their life.”

About TIP
We invite you to join us in our mission to promote
innovative educational experiences for Los
Angeles area students and hope you will have the
opportunity to organize a third-party event or to
sponsor us at one of your existing planned events.
When an event benefits The LA Fund, it has the
potential to impact over 650,000
Los Angeles students.
In early 2014, the LA Fund launched The Intern
Project (TIP), a program that engages high profile
businesses and is designed to provide mentoring,
professional development, and summer internships
for LA’s students. TIP is designed to support Linked
Learning programs in which specific pathways support
college and career readiness.

We recognize the great amount of hard work you will
assume on our behalf and want your event to be a
success.
Did you know that more than 80% of LA’s students
live in conditions of poverty? Providing meaningful
internships and support not only engages students
in their high school studies but also helps them build
the confidence they need to pursue college and
career goals.”
Below is a list of potential available resources to
support your event.
• LA Fund logo
• Social media recognition
• Collaboration with LA Fund staff to issue a press
release
• Acknowledgment to event organizer for direct
contributions
