The Summer Enrichment program is designed to help children continue staying active during the
time off from school. We are pleased to be offering a variety of well-rounded enrichment
opportunities.
You will have the option of choosing which class you’d like your child to have in the mornings and
in the afternoons. Each week looks different so talk to your child and see what he/she is interested
in doing!
If you are interested in enrolling your child/children in the Summer Enrichment program, return
the registration form to the school office as soon as possible.
Grades: K-5th - (Grade just completed)
Days:
Monday – Friday except week 1
Dates: Week 1: June 17 - 19 (3 days)
Week 2: June 22 - June 26
 Space is limited, so sign up early!
 Minimum of 10 students per class (am and
pm) in order for camp to run. You will be
notified no later than May 24th if classes
will be happening.

Lunch (11:30 – 12:30): Students must bring a
sack lunch but we will provide a light snack in

Fitness and Fun with Mrs. Parks – Have fun this summer by participating in activities that will help you
stay active through fun fitness activities. The focus will be on the components of fitness (Muscular Strength,
Muscular Endurance, Flexibility, and Cardiorespiratory Endurance). The class may include but not limited to
activities such as rollerblading, rock climbing, tumbling, yoga, dance, aerobics, and much more!
Art Adventures with Laura Van Horne - A fun, creative class where your child will complete art projects
and get experience using a variety of mediums such as acrylic paints, watercolor, ink, photography, textile and
other mixed media.
Watercolor Jennifer Savage Crane - Are you ready to bring out the artist in you by enjoying exploring
with watercolors? Learn about color mixing and wet in wet techniques while creating your own masterpieces.
Students will produce 3-4 paintings
Jump Rope for Fun and Fitness with Ms. Pickens - Our summer program will include instruction and
demonstrations in: single rope skills, partner routines, double dutch jumping, long rope skills, group games,
group choreography and more! Jumping Rope is a wonderful lifetime fitness activity! Kids work together in a fun
and rewarding environment of goal setting, best effort, and team building. Play games, refine skills, and develop
new skills and stay fit in our fun filled high energy program that really gets you jumping! An end of the year
performance culminates our program and your child’s hard work.
Hiking Adventures with Jennifer SavageCrane - Enjoy the outdoors, keep fit, and get creative! Join after
school enrichment teacher Jennifer SavageCrane as we hike from Lawton to...
Day 1 - Fisherman's Terminal to sketch boats
Day 2 - Discovery Park for creative writing.
Day 3 - Hiram M. Chittenden Locks to watercolor.
Day 4 - Ella Bailey Park for photography day. Bring your camera and take pictures along the way to one of Seattle’s
most spectacular views.
Day 5 - Vertical World for rock climbing! We’ll end our week with a rock climbing adventure. An additional $13
climbing fee will be collected separate from registration payment.
