I/We declare that I/we have read and understood the Supplementary Regulations issued for the event, and agree to be
bound by them and the provisions of the National Competition Rules of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport
Limited (“CAMS”).
In exchange for being able to attend or participate in the event (including entering the event), I agree:
 to release CAMS and Australian Motor Sport Commission Ltd, promoters, sponsor organisations, land owners and
lessees, organisers of the event, their respective servants, officials, representatives and agents (collectively, the
"Associated Entities") from all liability for my death, personal injury (including burns), psychological trauma, loss or
damage (including property damage) ("harm") howsoever arising from my participation in or attendance at the event,
except to the extent prohibited by law;
 that CAMS and the Associated Entities do not make any warranty, implied or express, that the event services will be
provided with due care and skill or that any materials provided in connection with the services will be fit for the
purpose for which they are supplied; and
 to attend or participate in the event at my own risk.

 the risks associated with attending or participating in the event include the risk that I may suffer harm as a result of:
 motor vehicles (or parts of them) colliding with other motor vehicles, persons or property;

AUTHORITY
The event shall be conducted under the International Sporting Code of the FIA, the National Competition Rules
(NCR) of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd. (CAMS), Passenger in Vehicle Guidelines, the Speed
Event Standing Regulations, these Supplementary Regulations and any other Further Regulations or instructions
which may be issued, and will be subject to CAMS Permit Number 715/1204/01.
The event will be conducted under and in accordance with the CAMS OH&S and Risk Management Policies,
which can be found at www.cams.com.au
EVENT DESCRIPTION
The Light Car Club of Tasmania will be conducting a Club Speed Event (herein referred to the as “the event”) on
12/04/2015 at Symmons Plains Raceway over a lap distance of 2.41km. The event will consist of ‘Observation
Laps’ (passenger allowed) followed by 1, three lap ‘Timed Session’, consisting of one warm up lap, 1 (one) timed
lap and one cool down lap. At the discretion of the event organisers 4 (four) lap ‘Super Sprints’ will follow. ‘Super
Sprints’ will be conducted with up to 16 cars starting from a 2 x 4 grid. Once the first 2 cars are a suitable distance
along the track a second pair of cars will be started. As per the CAMS Track Licence, there will be a maximum of
16 cars on the circuit at any given time. All ‘Super Sprints’ will be timed over 4 laps. The fastest individual lap time
for each driver will be recorded and the driver completing the ‘Super Sprint’ with the lowest lap time will be deemed
the winner.
The event will commence at 9 am and finish at 6 pm.

ENTRIES
Entries may be made via the CAMS Event Entry system at https://www.meecamsau.com Credit Card Payments
before the event will be accepted via CAMS Event Entry. Cheques and Money Orders should be made payable to
LCCT. Entries shall be directed to the Event Secretary at the above address. Entries paid by cheque are not
contractual until the cheque is honored. Credit and Debit Card payments can be accepted on the day.
DOCUMENTATION AND SCRUTINY
Documentation and Scrutiny will commence in the Scrutiny Bay at 9.00 am on the day of the event. All cars must
attend and pass scrutiny prior to the event. Current Club Membership Cards, CAMS Level 2S or higher licence,
competition record and helmet must be presented at scrutiny. Cars must be presented at scrutiny with log book (if
issued) in track ready condition.
DRIVERS BRIEFING
Drivers Briefing will commence at the Control Tower at 10.30 am on the day of the event. All competitors are to
attend the compulsory drivers briefing in the scrutiny bay or other nominated place on the day. Failure to attend
this briefing on time may result in the competitors being excluded from the event and the forfeiture of any entry fee.

CLASSES
Class A, B, C, D and E. (as per LCCT Standing Orders) Note: these are not the State Championship Classes.
Any class that attracts less than three (3) competitors may be amalgamated with other classes at the discretion of the
organisers.
The following prizes / trophies / series points shall be awarded at the discretion of the promoters:
 Club Points
 Trophies for Driver of the Day, Best Presented Car, Most Improved Driver.
The promoter reserves the right to refuse entry in accordance with NCR83.
Note:
The organisers may re-classify any vehicle if they believe it is not eligible for the class in which it has been entered.
Any class that attracts less than three (3) competitors may be amalgamated with other classes at the discretion of the
organisers.
TYRES
Grooved Tyres
Tyres that have been grooved after manufacture, or have been regrooved, are not permitted to be used.
i.
Tyres Banned
Tyres marked “For racing Purposes Only” or “Not for Highway Use” (or similar) are prohibited. Note that this
specifically precludes the use of slick tyres.
ii.
Organisers Rights
The organisers reserve the right to prohibit tyres at any time before or during the Event. All tyres to be used in
competition are to be presented at scrutiny, and may be marked by the scrutineers.
Timing, Westhold Timing Transmitters, results and trophies
The following prizes, trophies and series points shall be awarded at the discretion of the promoters:
 Club points for LCCT Members as per LCCT Standing Orders.
The promoter reserves the right to refuse entry in accordance with NCR83.
Timing will be by the Natsoft Race Timing System and will require the use of Westhold Timing Transmitters which can
be hired or purchased from the Club.

The Clerk of Course and Event Secretary are deemed Judges of Fact.
ORGANISERS DECALS
The organisers may provide an Event Sponsor Decal which must be fitted as instructed by the Organisers.
INSURANCE
Insurance will be provided in accordance with Appendix I of the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport the details of
which are too intricate to adequately summarise here.
Competitors are reminded that, by Commonwealth Legislation, it is not possible for any insurance to pay the gap
between the Medicare reimbursement and the actual cost of the health care received. If you are taken to hospital
you will be asked “is this injury covered by insurance?” or such similar question. You (or your carer, as may be
appropriate at the time) must be very specific and advise the hospital that the injury is NOT a workers
compensation injury and that you are a public patient (or a private patient if you have private health care).
PROTEST
Any protest must be lodged in accordance with Part XII of the NCR
ABANDONMENT, ALTERATION & SUSPENSION
The promoters and the Clerk of Course reserve the right to abandon, cancel, alter or postpone the event in
accordance with NCR 59 or to temporarily suspend the event for any reason.

DRIVERS, PASSENGER
All competitors and drivers must hold a current CAMS Level 2S licence or superior and be a member of a CAMS
Affiliated Club. One passenger, who may not be a member of the Drivers’ immediate family, may be permitted in
each car during the ‘Observation Laps’. Passengers must sign the appropriate indemnity before the car leaves the
pit lane. The vehicle must also be kept to less than competition speeds.
USE OF PROHIBITED SUBSTANCES
During any event, consumption of alcoholic beverages in the paddock, pits or any other portion of the competition
venue under the control of the officials is expressly forbidden until all practice or competition activity is concluded
for each day. Any driver or crew member who is found to be affected by alcohol on the day of the event or practice
therefore shall not be permitted to participate. Refer NCR 145A and 145B of the CAMS Manual of Motor Sport. In
addition, the persons concerned will be subject to the articles of the Standard Operating Procedure for Alcohol
Testing, the CAMS Anti-Doping Policy and the CAMS Illicit Drugs in Sport (Safety Testing) Policy. Competitors,
crews or officials may be randomly tested for alcohol by a CAMS Accredited Testing Official (CATO) or other drugs
at any time during the event(s). Other Prohibited Substances: the CAMS Anti-Doping Policy, as appears in the
CAMS Manual of Motor Sport, and as amended from time to time, recognised as an integral component of the
NCR and is duly authorised as such. In any areas where the National Competition Rules and the CAMS AntiDoping Policy conflict, the CAMS Anti-Doping Policy will apply. Additionally, in any areas where the National
Competition Rules and the CAMS Illicit Drugs in Sport (Safety Testing) Policy conflict, the CAMS Illicit Drugs in
Sport (Safety Testing) Policy will apply.
VEHICLE EQUIPMENT & SAFETY
All vehicles, drivers and passengers must comply with CAMS General Requirements for Cars and Drivers

Apparel
Drivers and passengers must be attired in long legged trousers and long sleeved shirts or tops made of a nonflammable material. Suitable footwear is required (no thongs, sandals or high heeled boots/shoes.)
Drivers and passengers must wear a helmet, which complies with AS 1698 (or as otherwise listed in Schedule D of
the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport) at all times whilst on the track.
Safety cage
A Safety Cage Structure in accordance with Schedule J of the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport is required for
1st Category (open wheel racing cars) for this event; they are not required for other vehicles although the
Organisers strongly recommend that they be fitted to all vehicles.
Competitors with Safety Cage Structures built to previous or foreign regulations are referred to Article 4 of
Schedule J of the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport.
Safety harness
Must be fitted with a safety harness of a type listed in Schedule I of the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport (i.e.
AS2596, ADR 4/00 or 4/01, AS E35, SFI 16.1, FIA Standard 8853/98, 8853-1985, 8854-1991 or 8854/98 or
European Standard ECE R16). Competitors are reminded that where required by the relevant standard (FIA
8853/98, 8854/98, SFI16.1), seat belts need to comply with CAMS age requirements.
Fire extinguisher
Must be fitted with a fire extinguisher of at least 900g capacity, which complies with Schedule H of the CAMS
current Manual of Motor Sport properly fitted at a suitable location. Extinguishers will be inspected by Scrutineers
before the event as per Schedule H. It is highly recommended that the extinguisher be presented with a current
inspection tag.
Tyres
Tyres in accordance with Schedule E of the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport must be used and must be in
roadworthy condition. Retread tyres will not be permitted.
Fuel
Only Commercial or Racing Fuel in accordance with Schedule G of the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport may
be used.
Bonnet restraints
All vehicles must be fitted with 2 separate fasteners on any front opening panel (eg. Bonnet), as per Schedule B of
the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport.

Tail shaft straps
Any car that is not road registered shall be so constructed that any longitudinal propeller shaft shall be protected
from striking the ground, this requirement is strongly recommended for road registered cars, as per Schedule B of
the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport.
Throttle springs
Be fitted with a return mechanism which in the event of any throttle linkage failure will close each throttle, as per
Schedule B of the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport.
Noise
All vehicles shall be configured such that the sound emitted when measured 30m from the track edge does not
exceed 95dB(A) as per Schedule B of the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport.
Oil catch tank
Any car that is not road registered shall, if fitted with any crankcase breather discharging to the atmosphere, each
breather be vented into a catch tank of minimum capacity of two litres for engines up to 2000cc or three litres for
over 2000cc as per Schedule B of the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport,
Headlight glass
All vehicles must have all forward facing glass, except for the windscreen, covered with an adhesive film, as per
Schedule B of the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport.
Battery location
Display a blue triangle with sides of 150mm on the coachwork indicating the location of the battery, as per
Schedule B of the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport.
On-Board Cameras.
Any on-board camera must be mounted in accordance with Schedule A – 14 of the current CAMS Manual of Motor
Sport. The camera must be mounted in the car at scrutiny and inspected by the Chief Scrutineer. It is
recommended that any camera/video recorder of weight greater than 100g and attached other than to the floor
must be securely mounted in an aluminium cradle. Any helmet fitted with a camera mount and / or camera will be
deemed ineligible according to Chapter 3, Article 1.3, “Modifications” of the FIA’s Appendix L and will not
be allowed for use under any circumstance, even with just the mount remaining. Cameras may be fitted to ROPS
structures or in the cockpit. For cameras mounted in the cockpit of a vehicle suction cups are adequate but the
camera shall also be tethered. Use of a cable tie as the tether is adequate. Go Pro® style rigid clamp systems are
also acceptable, as are the stick-on mounts, using double sided tape such as the 3M® brand. Externally cameras
should be mounted via rigid attachment, again the use of the stick-on mounts is acceptable. Any externally
mounted camera must be secure and therefore the use of a suction cup mount alone is not acceptable, as they
shall require an additional tether and be in close proximity to the profile of the vehicle.
On track breakdowns
Any car immobilised on the course will be removed by the organisers and may be subject to scrutiny (at the
discretion of the Clerk of Course) before being allowed back on the track.
Loose objects
All unsecured objects including jacks, spare wheels, floor mats etc. must be removed from the vehicle cabin,
console and boot.
