Leander Boat Club 2015 Membership Renewal
The purpose of this document is to help guide you through the membership
renewal process for 2015.
This year Leander Boat Club has gone completely online for registration.
There are 2 methods of payment available:
Credit card (online)
Debit card (online)
Regardless of the type of payment used, each member MUST complete
the online registration in two places preferably in this order:
1. Rowing Canada Aviron online registration page and;
2. RegattaCentral Leander BC online registration and payment page.
Once the RCA online registration is completed, it will provide the link to the
RegattaCentral online registration and payment page (though this link is
provided below as well).
Any member that does not feel confident in completing registration can
complete the process online at the club office with Steffan Wagner.

Explanations
1. For Club Board Members, Coaches, Volunteers you must
register online at the RCA Registration. If you are an athlete too,
you must register for both programs. You do not Register on
RegattaCentral unless you are an athlete.
2. For Masters Club rowers there are 3 membership options:
'Full year' and 'Fall only' and 'Winter'.
These memberships were tailored to recognize that some Masters crews form in
the late summer/fall for the Head race season.
3. For Competitive Club U23/Sr rowers there are 3 membership
options:
'Full year', 'Spring and Summer only', 'Fall only'.
These memberships were tailored to fit the Univ. seasons.
The best deal is by far the FULL membership recognizing the commitment to
rowing year round.
4. For Masters/Club Coxswains there is one option, the full
membership.
5. For High School upgrade there are 3 options:
'Full year upgrade', 'Summer only upgrade', 'Fall only upgrade'.
These memberships should only be purchased if the athlete is sure they only
would like to row in the summer or fall OR if the member has paid their full high
school fee (with Leander component), yet wishes to join the club. High school
athletes DO NOT directly pay fees to Leander BC. They pay to their school
unless they join as a FULL Competitive Club member above. If an athlete
joins as a FULL Competitive member, they do not register as a high school
4
rower and only pay their school fees minus the LBC component.
6. For Recreational Rowers there are 3 membership options:
'Spring start', 'Summer start', and 'Late-summer start'.
New Locker Rental, Boat Storage, and other info.:
In 2015 the membership fee increased due to service fees of online
transaction and Rowing Canada Aviron fees.
Family discounts are available! If you have more than one family

Boat Storage fees
It is the responsibility of the member to read and abide by the boat
purchase and storage policy. The full policy can be found at
leanderboatclub.ca
From the Boat Purchase and Storage Policy:


The following yearly rates will take effect for 2015: $83.00 for private single racks
outdoors; $105.00 for private single rack indoors; $120.00 fee for private double racks;
$500.00 for private four/quad.
All storage fees as contained herein are due by April 1st. Members may make payment
online at Regattacentral.com in advance of this date. Boats, belonging to members who
have not paid their annual membership fees and storage fees or made other
arrangements with the Club by April 20, will be removed from the boathouse to nonrowing storage after April 20.

Locker Rental 2015
As of April 1st, 2015 lockers located in the Men's and Women's
washrooms must be rented to be used. Lockers will become available
for online rental on March 29th at 11:59am.
All lockers occupied in 2014 must be vacated and lock removed
before March 27th, 2015 11:59pm.








Locker rental is first come, first served.
No member may rent more than one locker.
There will be no seniority in locker rental.
A locker will be assigned by the Rowing Manager upon membership
payment and locker rental payment.
The locker # and lock combination will be emailed to the member within 3
days of rental, or can be retrieved in person from the Rowing Manager.
An effort will be made to assign lockers to prior occupants in this transition
to a new rental system, but there is no guarantee of retaining a locker
location.
Purchasing a membership does not guarantee a locker is available for
rental.
Day lockers outside the change room doors are available for free use by
members. These lockers are for 1 day use, any locks left on overnight will
be cut and the contents removed.
