YEAR 9 QUEENSLAND CAMP
Sunday 3rd May to Friday 8th May, 2015
Dear Parent/Guardian
Please find included the final information for students attending the Year 9 Camp to Queensland.
All buses will be departing Lilydale High School between 9.00am – 9.30am Sunday 3rd May (please be at the School
Bus Bay no later than 8.45am).
Travel Insurance is not included in the trip. We strongly recommend that each student have Ambulance cover at a
minimum.
Students may have access to ATM machines at the theme parks; however, we cannot guarantee what bank they will
represent.
Medication: If your child is taking medication on camp it needs to be in a clearly marked bag with their name and
instructions and should be handed to the teacher in charge of First Aid on each bus.
STUDENT REQUIREMENTS
Day 1 and 2 (Sunday 3rd May – Monday 4th May)
As students will be travelling from school straight to SeaWorld, they will need to have the following items with them
on the bus:
 Packed lunch for Sunday (including a water bottle). They will not have the opportunity to purchase food for
lunch on the first day.
 Money for dinner (Sunday), breakfast (Monday) and lunch (Monday - which is eaten at SeaWorld).
 Warm clothing (especially for the night travel).
 Toiletries (students may wish to freshen up during the trip. Please note: only roll on deodorant is permitted on
the bus as the aerosol fumes affect the air conditioner).
 Pillow
 Items for SeaWorld (bathers, towel, sunscreen, hat).
 Students may bring snacks on the bus (other than what is required for lunch on the first day) however; they
should be varied and also include some healthy items.
 Students are not to bring soft drink, flavoured milk or caffeinated drinks (eg V, Red Bull).
Please note, students will not have access to their main luggage until after SeaWorld; therefore if they need anything
they should have it in another bag on the bus with them.
Thursday 7th May – Friday 8th May
 Students will require money for dinner (Thursday), breakfast (Friday) and lunch (Friday) on the trip home from
Queensland.
 We are anticipating that the buses will arrive at Lilydale High School no later than 5.00pm on Friday 8th May;
however, unforeseen circumstances may cause the buses to be late. The school website will be updated on
the day with an estimated time of arrival.

 Comfortable clothing for each day and warm clothing for night
 Sleepwear
 Towels
 Toiletries (including sunscreen)
 Pillow (all other bedding is supplied)
