President’s Message
Last month we trialled starting our ‘set up’ earlier at 10am which gave us more
time to do a sound check featuring a short set by ‘Lobeau’ .We will continue
with this as it made for a good start to the day with our jam at the end of the
day proving to be popular.
We have started to have a guest member spot again. Members names will be
drawn at the end of each social, you will need to be present for the ‘draw’ to
claim the guest spot for the next month.
Clarrie Hart was the first name out of the hat last month and we look forward
to hearing more songs from Clarrie.
Looking at the recent devastating weather events it puts a lot of our ‘problems’
in perspective and we wish all the cyclone victims both in Australia and
Vanuatu the best in rebuilding their lives.

Hi Members,
Our calendar is looking a bit healthier this month now that we are
getting responses from our invites to other Clubs. The first event outside
of our Club social is an invite from Guanaba. We have been invited to
be the guest club on the 19th April. Members who would like to take
part should contact Mick or myself and be available for practice
sessions, dates & times tba
We are continuing our birthday initiative this month. If your birthday
falls in the month of March please contact me on the day of the social
and you will be able to pick 2 X $1 scratchies and be given the
opportunity to sing a third song with Lobeau at the end of the day. You
have to be present at the social to collect your scratchies.
If you would like to help set up the music gear please note that we are
now starting at 10:00am. All help is greatly appreciated. Also the same
goes at the end of the day when we pack up.

Monthly Funnies
Every time I hear the dirty word 'exercise',
I wash my mouth out with chocolate.
I do have flabby thighs,
But fortunately my stomach covers them.
Confucius Say... Man who mix Viagra and Laxette,
doesn’t know if he's coming or going.
Live long enough to be a REAL concern to your family

A petrol station owner in Dublin was trying to increase his sales. So, he put up a sign that read, 'Free Sex
with Fill-Up. Soon Paddy pulled in, filled his tank and asked for his free sex. The owner told him to pick a
number from 1 to 10. If he guessed correctly, he would get his free sex. Paddy guessed 8, and the
proprietor said, 'You were close. The number was 7. Sorry... No sex this time.' A week later, Paddy, along
with his friend Mick, pulled in for another fill-up. Again he asked for his free sex. The proprietor again gave
him the same story, and asked him to guess the correct number. Paddy guessed 2 this time. The proprietor
said, 'Sorry, it was 3. You were close, but no free sex this time. As they were driving away, Mick said to
Paddy, 'I think that game is rigged and he doesn't really give away free sex.
Paddy replied, 'Not at all, Mick.. Sure it's not rigged at all my wife won it twice last week.
Spanish singer Julio Iglesias was on UK television with British TV host Anne Diamond. He used the word
"manyana" (pronounced "man -yana"). Diamond asked him to explain what it meant. He said that the
term means: "Maybe the job will be done tomorrow; Maybe the next day; Maybe the day after that; or
perhaps next week; Next month; Next year. Who really cares?" The host turned to the Australia
representative who was also on the show. She asked him if there was an equivalent term in his native
language. Eh" he replied. "In Australia we don't have a word to describe that degree of urgency."

EXAMPLES FROM BRITISH MILITARY OFFICERS' REPORTS
1. His men would follow him anywhere, but only out of idle curiosity.
2. I would not breed from this Officer.
3. This man is depriving a village somewhere of its idiot.
4. This officer can be likened to a small puppy - he runs around excitedly, leaving little messes for other
people to clean up.
5. This Officer is really not so much of a has-been, more of a definitely won't-be.
6. When she opens her mouth, it seems only to change whichever foot was previously in there.
7. Couldn't organise 50% leave in a 2 man submarine
8. He has carried out each and every one of his duties to his entire satisfaction.
9. He would be out of his depth in a car park puddle.
10. Technically sound, but socially impossible.
