Second International Congress of Jewish Child Protection Organizations (JCPO) Hebrew University, Mount Scopus, Jerusalem, Israel 27th, 28th and 29th April, 2015 About JCPO - Jewish Child Protection Organizations JCPO is an umbrella organization of Jewish Child Protection Organizations which was established at the First International Congress in 2014, to promote and coordinate child protection in Jewish communities around the world. JCPO Congress Features International – delegates from Jewish communities throughout the world. Combining in-depth community knowledge to develop a broad global response Organizations – focused on organizational & program development Closed forum – where even sensitive information can be discussed safely Reality – case studies from the field, where the tyre hits the road. JCPO – the parent organization for Jewish child protection organizations, together, will be stronger than the members working individually. Local programs successfully containing known predators in the community Specialist Batei Din hearing abuse cases Day 2 - How international factors impact my community Migrating perpetrators Multi-jurisdictional cases Casting a wider net of support for victims / survivors, such as during studies abroad. Child pornography, chat group loiterers and other internet-based dangers Day 3 - Stronger together - JCPO Pooling educational materials, protocols and Expo J-INTERPOL – sharing data about known perpetrators Developing joint policies, standards and resolutions – workshops with concrete results Fundraising – "Million Dollars for Children" crowdfunding campaign for Jewish Child Protection. Objective: Developing, building & maintaining effective community organizations and programs to protect children and respond to child abuse incidents Target Participants: Managers, Professionals & Rabbonim from Jewish community child protection organizations. Format: This event is a private forum, attendees by EXPO There will be an Expo session, as an integral part of the conference program. Organizations and individuals will have an opportunity to exhibit, present and explain their programs and materials to delegates during the Expo.
