Russ served as an Infantry Squad leader in the United States Army and did a one-year combat tour in Vietnam. He was awarded a bronze star commendation medal. Russ graduated from the University of Miami with a B.A. in Marketing. Community involvement Russ is an active member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors and is a featured panelist/speaker on commercial real estate topics. He has also been a repeat panelist for the Georgia Society of CPAs Real Estate Education Conference Program. Russ also consults on a regular basis with the Cumberland Improvement District (CID). Russ is a board member, the past program chairman, and 2015 President for the Georgia Chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), where membership is earned by tenured performance and adherence to premier ethical standards. Russ is an Executive Board Member of the Atlanta Vietnam Veteran’s Business Association, past board member of the Ansley Park Civic Association, and past co-chairman of the Membership Committee at the Ansley Golf Club.
