Institute of Metal Forming
MEFORM 2015
The annual meeting MEFORM will
take place on March 25th to 27th
2015 at the Institute of Metal Forming at the Technische Universität
Bergakademie Freiberg. The topic
will be „light metals – forming technologies and further processing“. Through the world‘s ongoing efforts to realize different lightweight concepts in automotive and aerospace, the manufacture
and metal forming processing and refining of light metals is in focus. The conference offers scientists and engineers from industry
and academia the opportunity to present recent developments
and progress in the field of magnesium, aluminum and titanium
materials and discuss together. The articles of the conference will
bei published in the Elsevier-Proceedings Materials Today (open
access).
Main focuses of the conference are the following:
• Alloy development
• Development of new technologies and products
• Applications and processing
• Heat treatment
• Characterization and material modelling
• Surface treatment and join technology
The conference will be accompanied by an exhibition of companies and research institutions. A poster exhibition offers young scientists the possibility to present research results to a large scientific
audience.
We would be pleased if we may address you with the subject matter and welcome you at the meeting.
With best regards.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Prof. E.h. mult. Rudolf Kawalla
