The MK Dons Sport and Education Trust gives as many community members access and opportunities to participate in our often life changing programmes, we have created an organisational structure to deliver projects in core areas. The seven departments we operate through are Education, Social Inclusion, Health and Wellbeing, Girls and Womens, Football Development and Community Delivery and Get SET for legacy. This structure allows us to engage a diverse range of people as we continue to be a focal point of community activity. We regularly engage with over 50,000 people each year. The natural synergy between our departments allows us to share expertise and, in many projects, work across departments. So, whether playing football, growing vegetables or designing a poster, everyone involved will take away skills and knowledge that will help them get SET for life. Before starting the race please give careful consideration to your ability to complete the course in the allotted time. The Finish Area All races finish next to the players tunnel inside stadiummk. Encourage your friends and family to give you a shout as you enter the stadium. A video camera will display your finish on four big screens. When you cross the line please keep moving around the pitch where you will be presented with water and your medal. This is important, not only for your muscles to avoid them seizing up, but also to prevent congestion in the finish area. If you need assistance our medical team will be on hand to support you. There is also the all important aspect of putting something back into the community. Each year we work with Charity Partners in order to help them raise valuable funds. While the headlines go to the first man and woman across the line, way back in the field are the men and women who have sacrificed so much in dedicating their time and effort to helping their chosen charity. More than £1.7 million has been raised since the first MK Marathon and we will conduct a survey to see how much has been raised by the 2015 event. No matter how small the sum may seem, every single penny counts for the less privileged. Register today for the NSPCC Milton Keynes summer half marathon on Sunday 12 July 2015!
