Win a Mother’s Day High Tea package for four people 1. This competition is considered a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Entry into this competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. 2. The Promoter is Old Parliament House, 18 King George Terrace, Parkes, ACT, 2600. ABN: 30 620 774 963. 3. The competition period begins at 09:00 AEST on Friday 24 April 2015 and concludes at 12:00 AEST on Wednesday 6 May 2015. 4. Entry is only open to Facebook users who are residents of Australia, over the age of 18 and available to attend the prize at 10:00am on Sunday 10 May 2015. 5. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families and agencies associated with this promotion are not eligible to enter. 6. To enter the competition, an entrant must: a. Visit the ‘Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House’ (MOADOPH) Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/museumofaustraliandemocracy) b. Send the Promoter a private Facebook message which answers the following question: “Tell us in 25 words or less about a woman who inspires you and why” 7. Each individual response can only be submitted once. The Promoter will judge the winning entry based on the individual creative merit of the answer within the word limit. If for whatever reason, the winner cannot be contacted or does not reply within 24 hours of being notified as the winner, or if they cannot accept the prize, or an entry is forfeited, no substitute will be offered. In this case, a new winner will be determined by the Promoter. The prize will then be awarded to the next winning entry as judged by the Promoter. The winner will also be published on MOADOPH Facebook page. 8. Entry is limited to five entries per Facebook user. 9. Prizes are limited to one prize per Facebook user over the entire competition period. 10. There is one prize in total, which includes: Mother’s Day High Tea for four people (the winner plus 3 guests), which includes an assortment of handmade sweet and savoury food, sparkling wine, Darjeeling leaf tea and Lavazza coffee. This prize is courtesy of Restaurants Associates. Live entertainment provided by jazz musicians, Access to the heritage Members’ Bar and Members Dining Room, Total prize pool is $196 ($49 per person) The prize is only available at the 10:00am session on Sunday 10 May 2015. 11. Any additional guests must be paid for by the winner. 12. Guests under the age of 18 are eligible to accompany the winner to the prize. Guests under 18 will not be offered the alcoholic beverages included in the prize. Guests under 18 must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult, as the Members Dining Room and Members’ Bar are licensed venues. 13. Please note that travel to and from the prize is not included. The winner and their guests will need to make their own way to and from the prize. Any incidental charges are the responsibility of the winner. 14. All elements which are included in the prize are at the sole discretion of the Promoter. 15. Entries which exceed the word limit, are incomplete, offensive or incomprehensible will not be eligible to win. 16. The Promoter reserves the right to use any entries submitted in any promotion during and following the competition period. The sharing of these entries will not affect the decision of the Promoter in choosing the winner. By entering the competition, each entrant acknowledges that his or her entry may be used for these promotional purposes and assigns all rights for the Promoter to do so. 17. The acceptance of the prize may be photographed by the Promoter and used for promotional purposes, including social media. Winners agree to co-operate in such publicity and promotional activities as reasonably requested by the Promoter. The Promoter may use the winner’s name, entries and photographs for any promotional or other purposes as deemed suitable by the Promoter, without further consent or cost. 18. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and eligible entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age, place of residence or relationship to the Promoter) and to disqualify any eligible entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, that winner will forfeit their Prize in whole and no substitute will be offered. 19. Any cost associated with accessing MOADOPH Facebook page is entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet or Mobile Service Provider used. 20. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries not received by the Promoter due to technical disruptions, network congestion or for any other reason. 21. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 22. Personal information collected as part of this competition will only be used for the purposes of conducting this competition. 23. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw or amend the competition as necessary, due to circumstances outside its control. 24. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Competition. 25. Eligible Entrants understand that they are providing their information to the Promoter and not to Facebook. Any questions, comments or complaints about this Competition must be directed to the Promoter and not to Facebook. Facebook will not be liable for any loss or damage or personal injury which is suffered or sustained by an Eligible Entrant, as a result of participating in this Competition (including taking/use of a Prize), except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. 26.
