REPORTINGCSR.ORG :
The Website about CSR reporting of
companies
Objectives of the Internet site reportingcsr.org
ORSE (Study Center For Corporate Social Responsibility, http://www.orse.org/) has set up the
web site www.reportingcsr.org (in both French and English) dedicated to offering educational
support to companies with regard to their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility).
The site reportingcsr.org is a «large CSR library» which:
- explains and compares the standards which provide a framework for the CSR
reporting procedures in the various countries
- brings together the most recognised initiatives with regard to sustainable
development
- provides links to sites showing sustainable development reports and comparative
studies.
What the site contains
www.reportingcsr.org is a practical reference tool for the CSR domain. Free, simple
and educational, it enables Internet users to browse according to their requirements.
There are different ways to access information on the portal to enable the user to
arrive directly at the information they require:
¾ by profile: reportingcsr.org is designed to meet the requirements of several different
groups of users (large companies, SMEs, institutions, NGOs, trades’ unions, researchers,
associations, etc.).
¾ by section:
International CSR Framework
This section describes the initiatives taken by various international organisations (United
Nations, International Labour Organisation, Organisation for Economic Cooperation and
Development and the European Union).
Corporate Reporting
The corporate reporting tab offers five different subsections:
This allows the user to enter the site according to the geographical scope of the information
sought (international, European or national), or according to the business sector or topic.
International
This section contains the laws, reference baselines and guidelines in force according to the
various scopes, the most well-known being:
- the Global Reporting Initiative reference baseline
- the guidelines developed by the UNCTAD (United Nations Conference on Trade an
Development)
European
This heading presents the actions initiated by the European Commission in the promotion
and support of Corporate Social Responsibility as well as the European legal framework.
National Guidance
This heading includes the national legislation put in place by each country as well as the
initiatives taken by the various states to support and promote CSR.
Specific Sector Guidance
reportingcsr.org also enables the user to explore the CSR processes for each business
sector in greater depth. Entering the site via this heading allows the user to gain access
directly to the information about their particular business area.

Consulting Report
Consulting reports = CSR address book
This tab gives the various French and international Internet sites which put company reports
on line.
The user can read analyses and company reports in different business sectors and in
other countries.
Reporting Stakes
The stakes differ according to whether you are an SME, large company or other organisation.
In order for the reports to make sense, it is essential to take the business sector and
topic into account and this section lists the various stakes associated with the CSR process
for each.
The policy committee for the site
The policy committee for the site reportingcsr.org is made up of representatives of companies
and their stakeholders: ministries, professional organisations, employee trades’ unions,
NGOs, companies, investors and asset managers, universities.
Its mission is to validate the contents of the site, to ensure it operates correctly and if necessary
to instigate studies, in particular on the stakes for each business sector or by topic.
