Eleven schools took part from the area. We were drawn in a tough group with Longridge and Archbishop Temple. We came second in the group just behind Longridge after some close games. However second place was enough to qualify and we drew Corpus Christi in the quarter-final, we won this game 4-3. Then we drew Leyland St Bede's in the semi-final and came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2. This meant a rematch with Longridge in the final. We drew the game 3-3 which meant a penalty shoot-out. Cian Hayes, Owen Strickland, Finton McGuire and Liam Corless scored their penalties and Longridge missed two penalties meaning we won 5-3. This means that we will represent the area in a national Rotary 5 a-side tournament on 31 May at St George's Park. Our man of the tournament was Daniel Hooper.
