As of 2010, he is pilot of the CAE methodology strategy alliance between Renault and Nissan. Mr. Matsui joined Nissan in 1985 in the Chassis Experiment Department and NVH Vehicle Experiment Group, working on NVH design and development for front engine/rear drive vehicles. In 2001, he moved to the Vehicle Test and Systems Engineering Department in the Vehicle NVH Engineering Group, responsible for the development of an innovative methodology to improve NVH prediction and performance. Since 2004, Mr. Matsui became manager of the Advanced Vehicle Development and Dynamic Performance group, responsible for advanced technology development for NVH, vehicle dynamics and ride comfort. Mr. Al Peasland, Head of Technical Partnerships for Infiniti Red Bull Racing at their Formula One operation in Milton Keynes, UK will share his view on the use of Siemens PLM at Infiniti Red Bull Racing and how High Performance PLM Solutions is Delivering Success on Track. Mr. Peasland has been with Infiniti Red Bull Racing over 7 years, initially joining the team as their Head of CAD/PLM. A Chartered Engineer, Mr. Peasland has an extensive engineering background, having started out as an aerospace design engineer, then moving into automotive transmission design. He has over 20 years’ experience with 3D CAD and CAM tools and their respective data management systems. A short stint as a CAD consultant and trainer saw Mr. Peasland transition from a design engineer to a PLM administrator and manager, which has ultimately enabled him to take on the challenging world of Formula One technical management. Dipl.-Ing. Bruno Seufert, Senior manager for chassis durability and vehicle load data, experimental and numerical methods, and chassis workshop organization for Daimler AG will share his vision on durability assessment in vehicle development, what are the challenges and next steps. He will highlight the current challenges and give his vision on the next steps. In addition to his current position, he coordinates chassis development for compact cars. He started his career at Daimler in 1986 as a body-in-white (BIW) development engineer for passenger cars. In this role, Dipl.-Ing. Seufert implemented new methods for body durability testing at Daimler. Along with this implementation, a body-related road load database was established and transferred to the application of actual road loads in laboratory tests. He also investigated materials for body design and joining techniques. He was later promoted to team leader for BIW durability testing. In 1995, Dipl.Ing. Seufert was appointed team leader for chassis durability, to investigate the durability of new suspension systems and new chassis material technologies. He became head of the chassis durability department in 1998, taking up extra responsibilities including load collective measurement and analysis for full-vehicle development, and numerical methods in load collectives and durability prediction.
