#1 American Girl Adventures (Gr ades 2-4)
Meet the girls from America’s past. We’ll do some reading,
crafting and cultural activities from a different American Girl
story every day. Whether you like Kit, Samantha, Josephina or
any of the other American Girls, you’re sure to have lots of fun
in this class!

#10 It’s Raining Cats & Dogs! (Gr ades 3-5)
Are you interested in tsunamis, tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards, and more? We are looking for aspiring meteorologists.
We will do science experiments, crafts, and have fun learning
about different types of weather. So dress for the forecast and

#21 Great World Religions (Gr ades 5-8)
Explore a secular overview of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, and Judaism. Activites will include basic history
and geography of each religion, an overview of core beliefs,
principles, and prophets/leaders. Read excerpts from texts important to each faith and examine how religions have impacted
culture around the world.

#2 Fanning the Flame of Playwrights and Thespians
(Grades 3-4) If you have a story to tell, let’s show the fire to
others in the form of a play. We will develop our stories together and present plays to our family and friends at the end of
the week. If you love to write and perform, this class is for

#3 WPKO & WBLL Sportscaster Camp (Gr ades 6-8)
At the 8th annual Sportscaster Camp, you will learn how to call
sports play-by-play for radio, interview famous guests, collect
and report news, make commercial, and write stories for the
internet. You will help call the live play-by-play of a baseball
game from Blue Jacket Park one evening on 1390 WBLL and
be part of a live radio show on WBLL where we will talk sports
for one hour.

#4 Instant Challenges (Gr ades 3-4)
Can you build a really tall tower using only straws? Do you
want to build a vehicle that can fly or a life raft to sail the
Ocean? Develop good problem solving skills and learn to analyze resources in new ways. Work on a team to develop performances, stories, & build a challenge.

#5 Who Doesn’t Love a Little Competition? (Gr ades 4-6)
Do you have a competitive side and love to play games? Let’s
have a ton of fun playing some games this summer! Learn
math, logic, and critical thinking skills while playing games.
By the end of the week, you will compete in a challenging game
of chess!

#6 Geometric Crafts (Gr ades 4-6)
Use elements of geometry to make fun crafts and art pieces. We
will create geometric solids, tessellations, magic foldables, and
string art that you can take home and hang up. We will draw,
fold, color, cut, measure and glue, all while using math.

#7 Crazy for Chemistry (Gr ades 2-4)
Are you crazy for chemistry or silly for science? Our many
experiments this week will include growing a gummy bear,
making Oobleck, blowing up a balloon without using your
mouth, making our own ice cream and creating Mentos geysers.
All while learning about scientific method, molecules, solids/
liquids, & chemical reactions.

Crime Scene Investigation is 100% science. Bring the bad
guys to justice by applying science with the evidence you find.
Work side by side with real CSI’s. If you like solving mysteries, this class is for you.

Learn how fascinating chemical & physical changes take place
when everyday substances are combined. You will be making

Sharks are some of the most fascinating but misunderstood
animals on our planet. Learn about sharks through dissection
of a spiny dogfish. What are ampullae of Lorenzini? How can a
shark sense movement in the water? What happens when a
shark loses a tooth? We will answer these questions and more.

Let’s learn about genetics and human DNA. We will do experiments with blood typing to figure out mysteries like, were
babies switched at birth and also a murder mystery. Learn how

You will end the week with many new skills, 3 fun & functional take-home projects, and one group quilting project that will
be donated to a children’s charity. In addition to sewing lessons and studio time, we will read poems and stories about
creativity and fabric artists, learn about the history of textiles
and discuss the math involved in sewing and quilting. Measure
