April, 2015 - North Carolina Association of Educational Office

NCAEOP Fellow Builders:
It’s hard to imagine that conference has come and
gone, and what wonderful building blocks to
professionalism it was. The workshops, presenters,
vendors, food and fellowship were great! Thank
you to the NCAEOP Conference Committee for a job
well done!
It is surprising that my tenure as your NCAEOP
President is at its end. I find it difficult to find words
that are adequate enough express my sincere
gratitude and appreciation for all the support, love
and encouragement shown to me throughout this
year.

Dear Fellow NCAEOP Members,
Where has the year of “Building Blocks of Professionalism” gone? It has went by too
fast for me, but now it’s time for me to get ready to serve as your in-coming
President, a rewarding challenge that I am looking forward to in the year 2015-2016,
“Hope Makes a Difference.” I commend Laverne Manzano for performing an
outstanding job as our President this year and hope I can continue in her footsteps!!
I felt the excitement of my first Board meeting in Greensboro the week of
conference, and I can’t wait to start working with the officers, 14 district presidents
and all the committee chairmen! This will be the year of change for NCAEOP, starting
with our 2016 Conference being relocated to the Twin City Quarter in Winston Salem
and we will soon be meeting to plan this momentous conference! I am very hopeful
that Sharon Lucas, our membership chair and Vice President will be getting our
numbers up this year! My prayer for each of you is to have safe travels and to have a
relaxing summer with your family and friends and get ready for the next year of
NCAEOP!
- Tricia Mabe
As another year is about to end and a new one is about to begin, I have had a
wonderful year serving as your Vice President. This year has been a year of
continuous growth for me as I continue to build blocks to professionalism. Even
though goals to increase membership is off just a little, please continue to keep
recruiting members to the association. Recruiting never ends. Also, if you ever get an
opportunity to talk to retired or active members who have been part of this
organization for more than 20 years, oh what a blessing you will receive. They
remind me of the brilliance of our organization and they inspire me to continue to be
steadfast with the workings of NCAEOP. May each of you continue to move forward
doing motivating works at your locals and districts levels.
God Bless,
- Bianca Bedford
Wow, what a wonderful conference we had this year! President Manzano did an
awesome job planning it and serving as our President. It has been my pleasure to
serve as your NCAEOP Secretary for the 2014-15 year. I am truly thankful for the
opportunity to serve you and for the professional growth I achieved throughout this
year. I thank you, the NCAEOP membership, for allowing me this opportunity. I
would also like to thank Ashe County Schools, District 3 and my fellow Ashe County
EOPs for all their support. This year definitely allowed my Building Blocks to
Professionalism to be stacked higher and definitely on a stronger foundation.
Working with the Executive Committee allowed me to see and be totally amazed at
the amount of work that goes into the success of this organization. The love for this
organization and the love shared among its membership are definitely the
foundation blocks on which NCAEOP is built.
- Sharon Lucas
