Wilmot’s Summer Camp Guide
The Township of Wilmot is pleased to be expanding the day camps being offered at WRC this summer! We are
bringing back Youth Sports Camp and Mad Science Camps, in addition we have 4 new themed day camps! Camp
hours are from 9:00am—4:00pm, with extended care hours from 8:15am-9:00am and 4:00pm-5:00pm. Please note
that children not enrolled in extended hours can arrive between 8:50am-9:00am and are to be picked up promptly
at 4:00pm. To register, drop by the Customer Service Desk at WRC, or visit RecWEB on the Township’s website
www.wilmot.ca
Registration will occur up until one week prior to the camp start date.

Youth Sports Camp
Are you looking for a fun and active sports camp for the summer? Wilmot’s Youth Sports Camp for ages 6 through 13,
is an interactive day camp where youth of all abilities will learn about the sport through understanding the rules, practicing skills, and playing the game! Sports for the week include (but are not limited to) Hockey, Soccer, Football, Volleyball, Racquet Sports, Golf and Swimming. The goal of the week is to expose youth to the FUNdamentals of the sport as
well as increasing their independence, teamwork, cooperation, and respect for others as well as the sport. We want
youth to gain confidence in sports by creating healthy sporting interactions. Special guests for the week include TWO
afternoon sessions with Sportball (2 hours each), and having their unique sport methodology introduced to our
campers.
My Camp’s got Talent!
Welcome one, Welcome ALL! To the camp where your stardom begins! Here you will learn all the basics of drama and
theatre. Lighting, Lingo, Stage-names, Singing, Dancing and Drama, all packaged into one. Camp themes include:
Learning the Basics, All about the Stage, Movie Mania & Make-up, Who’s Line Is It Anyways, and a Talent Show on
Friday Afternoon. At the end of the week you’ll walk away saying “My Camp’s Got Talent!”
007 Spy Camp
Welcome Secret Agents to Spy Camp! A week filled with cracking codes, solving the mystery and looking for clues! You
will learn how to use your enhanced senses to complete team challenges, play spy games to improve your stealth skills
and find out who is causing havoc in Wilmot! Should you choose to accept your mission, register for your 007 experience!
Artful Antics and Colourful Crafts
Creative crafts chaos! This week is all about you, and your expression through arts and crafts. Projects for the week include Tie-dying, finger painting, wind chimes, coasters clay and more! Campers will have the opportunity to try sketching, watercolour painting, and use acrylic paints and professional brushes. A Guest artist will be here for an afternoon of
fun and instruction, to ensure that campers get an enriching experience and tons of take home projects.
Ol’ Fashion Day Camp
Welcome to the Good Ol’ Fashion Day Camp, where fun is the key and there is no shortage of smiles! Campers will
experience the basics of what camp is all about; smiles, games, crafts, ice breakers, swimming and a new theme each day!
During the week campers will be treasure hunters, rock stars, wacky, learn to disco and cool off in the pool and Splash
Do you have a scientist grade in 1 through 6; who love to explore and always want the answer to ‘WHY’? Then Mad Science Day camps are the
place for them! Note there is No camp on July 1st. Mad Science fees now
include the extended care fee; please still register for the extended care
program if you are going to be using it, otherwise campers are to be
dropped off between 8:50am-9:00am and picked up promptly at 4:00pm.
Note, that children must have completed Grade 1 in order to enroll in
Camp. Registration early to guarantee your spot!

new skills in a child friendly environment. You will be planning and

WRC Day Camps!
