Ireland
Ireland is one of the most beautiful
countries in the world. Full of beautiful
landscapes, castles and breathtaking
views, it is certainly worth a visit. In
Ireland, you can find magical places all
over the island. Most of them are only a
few hours away from Dublin and they are
perfect for a weekend away. Check out
the main destinations and start planning
your trips.
Belfast (about 2hrs from
Dublin) is the capital of Northern
Ireland and it is part of
the United Kingdom.
Sligo (about 3hrs from
Dublin) is an historic,
cultural, commercial,
industrial, retail and
service centre. It’s
situated in an area of
outstanding natural beauty,
and has many literary and
cultural associations.
Galway (about 3hrs
from Dublin) is known as
Ireland’s Cultural Heart and
is renowned for its vibrant
lifestyle and numerous
festivals, celebrations and
events.
Malahide (about 30 minutes
from Dublin) is a beautiful
village where you can find the
famous Malahide Castle.
Dublin

The Cliffs of Moher (about
3hrs from Dublin) are
ranked amongst the top
visited tourist sites in Ireland
and receive almost one

buildings dating as far back
as the Medieval period and
extending right up to the present
day. Many of the city’s buildings
are in the Georgian style, although
there are a number of examples
of modern architecture.

The Association of Business Executives (ABE)
is a professional membership body and an
examination board. ABE develops business and

NED Training Centre
NED Training Centre is a private adult education centre situated in the heart of Dublin City.
Since its opening in December 2010, we have built up a large international student base,
attracting students from all around the globe. In our school you will find the best services for
improving your learning. The school also provides native teachers, extracurricular activities
(you can check the schedule on our social media channels) and all the courses are recognised
by major international education providers.

General
We offer English courses at a
variety of levels where students
can develop language skills in
line with the Common European
Framework of Reference for
languages (CEFR). All our teachers
are ACELS accredited and hold a
Level 8 NFQ Honours Degree or
Level 9 NFQ Masters Degree

Each class has at least two teachers,
where one is responsible for the
first half, focusing on grammar, and
the second teacher is responsible
for the second half of the class,
focusing on conversation. This
method is more dynamic and gives
the student a full experience in
all nuances of the language. The
student will have the opportunity
to put into practice everything
they learnt and this will help them
to memorise the content.

Our classes take place from Monday
to Thursday. Morning classes are
from 9am to 1pm, including a 15
minute break. Afternoon classes
are from 2pm to 6pm, with 15
minutes break.
Timetable
Weekly, students will be tested to
check what they have learnt during
the week. They also complete a
weekly feedback form about their
classes and learning. This feedback
helps us to continue to improve
our methods and to be in touch
with our students.

Spanish
Portuguese
Spanish is a popular second or third
language: with some 400 million speakers,
it’s the fourth most commonly spoken
language in the world (after English, Chinese
and Hindustani). It is an official language
on four continents and is of historical
importance elsewhere. Knowing Spanish
opens the door for you to communicate
with 1/3 of a billion speakers worldwide.
Besides this, you can also use Spanish to
improve your employment potential.
With over 230 million people speaking
it, Portuguese is the sixth most widely
spoken language (it is spoken on four
continents: Europe, South America, Africa
and Asia). Also it makes sense in the global
economy to study Portuguese: Brazil is
the 5th largest country in the world with
the 7th largest economy. Rio de Janeiro
and São Paulo are among the biggest
urban centres in the Americas.

Exam Preparation
FCE
Cambridge English: First, also known as
First Certificate in English (FCE), is an upperintermediate level qualification. It proves
you can use everyday written and spoken
English for work or study purposes. Having
a Cambridge certification can help you
achieve your goals for study, work and life.
Cambridge English exams are designed
to assess how learners use English to
communicate in real-life situations. It has
global recognition and it is the perfect
opportunity to get a certification that attests
to your level of English for your entire life.

The TOEFL® test is the most widely respected

writing) which take a total of about four and a
half hours to complete.

Facilities
To have a full experience and enjoy your programme the best you can, NED Training Centre
organises activities for students which are educational, informative and also fun. At NED
Training Centre, we believe that moments outside the classroom are very important to
practise English and improve your fluency of the language.
Every month our team work hard to bring to all students as many options as possible. These
informal situations are perfect to meet people of other nationalities and from different levels.
All students are encouraged to take part in all activities.
Most of the activities are free while for some of them you just need to pay a small fee or just
the transportation fare. Look out for announcements on our social media channels to find
out times and information about activities each month.

Every month NED Training Centre
takes its students to a different
place to visit. The students are
always accompanied by a teacher.
It is an amazing opportunity to practise English
and discover Ireland. In 2015, we are taking our
students to Marsh’s Library, the GAA Museum,
Butler’s Chocolate Experience Tour, Dublin Castle
and City Hall, Pearse Museum, Malahide Castle,
Howth, the Botanic Gardens, the Ullieann Pipers
Society of Ireland, Kilmainham Gaol, Collin’s
Barracks and Ice Skating.
The key to better development is
to practise a lot. At NED Training
Centre, we offer free conversation
classes where students can practise
their conversation skills with a teacher using daily
themes.
Field trip
Sometimes, teachers take students
on a field trip to deepen their
knowledge and show them things
in practice.
Student ID card
Other activities
NED Training Centre has its own
student card which gives discounts
to students in several shops. The
student will receive their card on
Induction day and it will be valid for the period of
their stay in Ireland. It is free for students and it
will guarantee discounts and special offers with
some partners. It is an exclusive benefit to our
students.
We are always working to bring new
activities to our students. Students
can enjoy a free cinema session,
watch a TV series or join a CV class.
Parties
On a regular basis, NED Training
Centre organises parties for
its students. It is the perfect
opportunity to meet new people,
socialise and have a great time in a very friendly
atmosphere. Students can join the party for free
and also enjoy discounts on drinks.

This is a student ID that guarantees
exclusive discounts on public
transportation and also in over
200 nationwide retailers. It is really
important to have one because this card proves
that you are a student and, of course, with it,
you can save a lot of money. When you get to
Ireland, talk to your agent about the procedure
to get your Student Card.
When you just arrive in Dublin city,
you may feel a little lost. This is
completely normal. To help you to
find yourself, NED Training Centre
offers free maps of Dublin.
Accommodation
Our aim is to make you feel at home
in Ireland. Your accommodation is
an extremely important part of your
whole experience. The different
locations where we accommodate students are
all close to public transport, shopping centres,
supermarkets and banks. With NED Training
Centre you can rest assured that we will provide
you with quality accommodation that best suits
your needs. NED Training Centre offers three
different accommodation options to our students:
host family, student house or hostel.
Health insurance
All non EU/EEA students require
health insurance to be granted
a study visa. NED Training
Centre can organise this for you
in advance of your arrival. Health Insurance
protects you against any illness or injury which
may happen during your time in Ireland.
Opening Bank Account
Support
If you are not feeling confident
to take your first steps in Ireland,
our specialised team accompany
new students to open their bank account every
Friday. Besides all the support that is offered
individually, a new student can join our group
every week and enjoy the help of one of our
agents.
