Position Information - Agistment Overseer
The New England Girls School(NEGS) Equestrian Centre provides a high standard of agistment, training and
coaching services to NEGS students and the New England community in an extensive stable and training complex
situation on 150 picturesque acres in Armidale NSW. NEGS Equestrian Centre is currently seeking applications from
suitably qualified persons for the full-time position of Agistment Overseer.

Selection Criteria
Essential Criteria
• Experience working in a performance horse stable
• Extensive experience in achieving and modeling best practice equine stable and paddock hygiene
• Experience working in and leading others towards achieving established goals
• Experience working with children and families to manage expectations and achieve positive results
• Ability to recognise potential issues and apply appropriate solutions and/or equine first aid
• High level horsemanship skills and ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and
other stakeholders
• Experience maintaining accurate animal health and facility usage records
• Experience managing staff rosters and scheduling to meet workload needs
• Excellent communication skills including report writing experience
• Experience using computers for information recording and communication
• Knowledge of WHS, EEO, privacy and anti-discrimination legislation as they apply to the position
Desirable Criteria
• Equine vet nursing experience
• Previous experience in a riding school environment
• Experience in professional training or coaching complex in Australia or overseas
• Competency and experience operating general farm machinery
• Experience and skills maintaining electric fencing systems
• Experience towing horse floats
• Hold a current NSW drivers licence with a good driving record.
