CILO’s Anti-Violence Family Day
Location: Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, 2500 Jupiter Park Drive, Jupiter, FL
33458.
Presenter: Coalition for Independent Living Options (CILO)
Description: The Coalition for Independent Living Options [CILO] is
partnering with Busch Wildlife Sanctuary to hold an Anti-Violence Family
Day Special Ticket Event with a focus on children that are traumatized or
acquire disabilities through being bullied. During this event, Busch Wildlife
will be closed to the general public and will only be open to individuals that
have purchase a special ticket for $3/person. We plan to incorporate an antibullying message through an expo of animals that were injured (or in
essence, bullied) by humans or other animals. Numerous free children’s
activities and vendors will be available. We will also have a ticket auction
with exciting prizes!
Victims of violence with disabilities are an extremely underserved
population due to under-reporting. We hope this event will provide a
positive impact for victims and bring awareness to the many individuals in
the community who are willing to support and assist these individuals.
Tickets are available for purchase by credit card through our website,
www.CILO.org. Tickets will also be available at the gate for purchase with
cash only. For more information, contact Brandy Macaluso at (561) 9664288 ext. 118 or email bmac@cilo.org.
