Administration Message
Welcome Spring!
I am hoping to say goodbye to winter soon! With
the arrival of Spring we
will most likely have wet
and muddy conditions on
the playground. I would
like to remind parents to
pack a change of clothes
with their child in their
backpack.
Junior/Senior High students will receive their
report cards on April 23.
All students should be
focusing on their aca-
demics to end the school
year on a positive note!
If you have any concerns
I encourage you to contact me.
details. Each class will
be asked to do a themed
basket for the Silent
Auction and any cakes
or baked goods that you
would like to donate will
be appreciated.
Please watch for the
posters detailed this fun

“Spring is when
you feel like
whistling even
with a shoe full of
slush”
-Doug Larson
On Wednesday, April 15,
2015, The Canadian
Foundation for Economic
Education (CFEE) is hosting an online learning
opportunity for students
and their families to talk
and learn more about
financial literacy. The site
http://
talkwithourkidsaboutmoney.com/ has
sample lesson plans, fun
activities and learning
opportunities to engage
junior high students in
discussions about money
and personal finances at
home and in school. Financial literacy is a topic
that is going to be aligned
with new learning opportunities in the near future
and already is a unit of
study that all students in
high school will receive
via their mathematics
courses that they take.
Scent Free School
Please note the signs
posted around the school
stating ―This is a Scent
Free School. We encourage students, staff and
school visitors to avoid
wearing products with fragrance or strong scents,
such as hairspray, soaps,
colognes, deodorants,
aftershaves, etc. These
chemicals can cause serious health problems for
many people especially
those with asthma, allergies and environmental
illness.
The Parenting Journey
The Parenting Journey is a
program to empower families and promote the
healthy growth and development of children and
youth through individual-
ized, home-based support.
Families with children ages
3 to 16 are eligible for the
program. For more information or to make a referral contact Lisa Bennett at
