NYS NEVADA 11 MAN MINOR DIVISION REVIEWS June 6th, 2015 THE #2 SEED HG COWBOYS DEFEATED THE #1 SEED MOJ GREEN MACHINE 18-6 AT CIMARRON HS IN THE 11 MAN MINOR DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP GAME The Henderson Cowboys rode hard all afternoon long as they were able to outscore the Mojave Green Machine in a low scoring battle. Zyrus Fiaseu scored a touchdown and rushed for 68 hard earned yards in leading the HG Cowboys to the championship victory. After a hard hitting defensive 1st quarter there was no scoring. In the 2nd quarter the Cowboys scored on an 18 yard pass to star receiver Maurice Hampton from QB Micah Bowens for a 6-0 lead. In the 3rd quarter the Cowboys increased their lead to 12-0 on a 1 yard run by Zyrus Fiaseu. The Green Machine was definitely not running on all cylinders with Star runner Deshaun Noble out with an injury and losing Xavier Delong early in the game with a broken nose. But still equipped with a strong defense and great desire they scored in the 3rd quarter on an 18 yard run by Elijah Alvarez, and the Cowboys led 12-6. In the 4th quarter the Cowboys scored on a 2 yard run by Micah Gallegos for an 18 -6 lead, and their defense shut down the Green Machine to preserve the victory. The Cowboys offense rushed for 122 yards and passed for 34 yards against a very tough Green Machine defense. Zyrus Fiaseu led the Cowboys with 68 yards rushing and Maurice Hampton caught 2 passes for 28 yards. The defense was led by Ayzayah Hartfield with 7 tackles and Kyle Fulton recovered a key fumble which led to a touchdown on the very next play. The Green Machine managed only 66 yards rushing against a very aggressive Cowboy defense. James Reddick Jr rushed for 38 yards. On defense Issaiaah Abrego and James Reddick Jr had 7 tackles each to lead the Cowboys. Both teams fought incredibly hard, but in the end, the Cowboys had just enough to earn their 2nd straight Minor Division championship. May 30th, 2015 THE HG WOLF PACK DEFEATED THE HG BEARCATS 32-28 AT ED FOUNTAIN PARK ON 5/29 MVP candidate Corey Herbert was incredible as he ran for 4 touchdowns and passed for another touchdown in leading the Wolf Pack to a bowl victory. Herbert who led all divisions in rushing this season with 849 yards, scored on runs of 38, 46, 65, and 48 yards, and passed 35 yards for a touchdown. The Bearcats scored touchdowns on 45, 46, and 25 yard runs by Elijah Harmen and a beautiful 60 yard TD pass to Andrew Woods from QB James Stiffler. The Wolf Pack rushed for 333 yards behind awesome blocking by their offensive line. Corey Herbert rushed for 261 yards and passed for 69 yards showing why he is the leading contender for MVP in the Minor division. For the Wolf Pack defense Colin Rerecich had 2 QB sacks. For the Bearcats, Elijah Harmen had a great game rushing for 153 yards. The Bearcats offense rushed for 183 yards and QB James Stiffler passed for 72 yards. THE LV COWBOYS DEFEATED THE 702 49ERS 12-8 AT SILVERADO HS Evan Olaes score the winning touchdown in the 4th quarter to lift the LV Cowboys to a bowl victory. The 49ers scored in the 1st quarter on a run by Christian Ladislao, and with a 2 point conversion they led 8-0. After scoreless 2nd and 3rd quarters the Cowboys scored on a safety by Donavahn Rose and Thomas Lane. Late in the 4th quarter Evan Olaes scored the game winning touchdown on a run to give the Cowboys a season ending victory. THE #1 SEED MOJ GREEN MACHINE DEFEATED THE #4 SEEED LV DUCKS 33-0 AT MOJAVE HS The Mojave Green Machine defeated the Las Vegas Ducks in shutout fashion as they race into the championship game with the win. Deshaun Noble scored 4 touchdowns to power the LV Green Machine into the division championship next Saturday. Noble scored on runs of 45,5,65 and 53 yards. Xavier Delong scored for the Machine on a 25 yard run. The Green Machine offense was running smooth as their powerful ground attack was fueled by excellent blocking from their offensive line. They rushed 34 times for 300 yards with Deshaun Noble gaining 171 yards and Xavier Delong adding 92 yard rushing. The defense played very well holding the Ducks to 120 yards of offense. Shannon Paule recovered a fumble and Elijah Alvarez had an interception. The Ducks were led by Keanu Flores with 61 yards rushing and on defense Tajon Bullock and Rolando Rodriguez had interceptions. The Green Machine will take on the Henderson Cowboys in what is a rematch of the Fall 2014 Championship game as they look for redemption from that loss. THE #2 SEED HG COWBOYS DEFEATED THE #3 SEED BG GATORS 20-12 AT ED FOUNTAIN PARK FIELD 8 Micah Bowens ran for a touchdown and passed for another in leading the HG Cowboys to the championship next Saturday. Bowens scored in the 1st quarter on a 53 yard scamper and the Cowboys made a key 2 point conversion for a 8-0 lead. In the 2nd quarter the Cowboys scored on an 18 yard pass to Maurice Hampton for a 14-0 lead. The Gators were hungry and scored on a 11 yard TD pass to Dumaurier Alexander from QB Ammonte Beverly and the Cowboys lead 14-6. Just before the halftime the Gators scored on a 9 yard run by Brayden Thomas and the Cowboys led 14-12. After a scoreless 3rd quarter the Cowboys secured their lead with a 3 yard touchdown run by Zyrus Fiaseu for a 20-12 lead. The Cowboys defense did the rest, shutting down the Gators offense to preserve the victory. The Cowboys offense rushed for 136 yards with Micah Bowens gaining 70 yards and Zyrus Fiaseu chipping in with 46 yards. The Cowboys defense played great when they needed to and, Aaron Johnson had an interception and Tommy Blazek had 2 QB sacks. The Gators offense was led by QB Ammonte Beverly as he completed 6 of 11 passes for 123 yards. The Cowboys will try and hold onto the Minor Division crown and become back to back champs with a victory over the Green Machine next weekend in what should be a legendary championship showdown. May 16th, 2015 THE #4 SEED LV DUCKS DEFEATED THE #5 SEED 702 49ERS 13-7 IN OT AT ED FOUNTAIN PARK FIELD 8 ON 5/14 Keanu Flores scored the game winning TD in overtime to power the Ducks to a thriller of a first round playoff victory over the 49ers at Ed Fountain Park. The 49ers scored in the 1st quarter for a 7-0 lead on a 27 yard pass to Byron Viloria from QB Dexter Campbell, and Campbell passed to Lehi Ausage for a 1 point conversion. With the 49ers defense playing outstanding they held the lead until the 4th quarter when the Ducks got on the board. The Ducks scored on a 31 yard run by Keanu Flores and Tajon Bullock tied the score at 7-7 with a 1 point conversion. The Ducks would go on to win the game in their 1st overtime possession on Flores 1 yard plunge and a 13-7 final score. The Ducks rushed for 188 yards with Keanu Flores gaining 110 yards on 17 carries. Tajon Bullock chipped in with 72 yards rushing and 43 yards passing. The Ducks defense picked off 3 49ers passes, 2 by Jose Buddy Carrasco and 1 by Ty Luce. The 49ers were led by QB Dexter Campbell with 59 yards passing. For the 49er defense Tyshawn Williams recovered a fumble and Lehi Ausage had an interception. The Ducks advance in the playoffs where they will take on the Green Machine in their semi-final matchup. The 49ers meanwhile will look to get one final semi-final tune up against the Las Vegas Cowboys before they head to San Diego. THE LV BLACKHAWKS DEFEATED THE CIM STORM 34-12 AT CIMARRON HS Star QB Brandon Furey ran for a 1 touchdown and passed for 2 more in leading the LV Blackhawks to a great win. Furey scored on a 22 yard run and passed 9 yards to Jaiden Romero and 38 yards to Michael Anderson Jr for touchdowns. Christian Andrew Geminiano de Perales scored on a 15 yard run and Douglas Sherman scored on a 2 yard run. The Storm scored on a 32 yard pass to Ja'zhon Wright White from QB Zyree Williams. Kendall Lightfoot also scored for the Storm on an 8 yard run. The Blackhawks rushed for 187 yards with Christian Andrew Geminiano de Perales gaining 101 yards and James Gow and Brandon Furey combined for 83 yards rushing. QB Brandon Furey completed 9 of 12 passes for 110 yards. The Storm rushed for 181 yards with Kendall Lightfoot accounting for 122 yards and Leonard Robbs gaining 77 yards rushing. THE #3 SEED BG GATORS DEFATED THE #6 SEED HG WOLF PACK 27-18 AT BASIC HS MVP candidate Brayden Thomas scored 3 touchdowns to power the BG Gators to a huge playoff win. Thomas scored on 49 & 46 yard runs and caught a 55 yard TD pass from QB Ammonte Beverly for a touchdown. Dumaurier Alexander also scored for the Gators on a 32 yard run. For the Wolf Pack MVP candidate Corey Herbert, who led all divisions in rushing with 849 yards, scored all 3 Wolf Pack touchdowns. Herbert scored on a 45 & 3 yard runs and an unbelievable Tony Dorsett like 99 yard run. The Gators offense ran wild as their offensive line was fabulous. They rushed for 261 yards with Brayden Thomas rushing for 96 yards and Matthew Demchak gaining 87 yards. Gator QB Ammonte Beverly passed for 93 yards. On defense Chase Lammers recovered a fumble and Dumaurier Alexander had an interception. For the Wolf Pack, Corey Herbert was stupendous rushing for 218 yards. Tofa Wilson added 61 yards rushing. On defense Leon Montgomery III and Austyn Case recovered fumbles for the Wolf Pack. The Gators advance into the next round of the playoffs where they will take on the Henderson Cowboys with a spot in the championships on the line. The Wolf Pack meanwhile will take on the Bearcats in one final Bowl Game before they head to the San Diego National Championship Tournament. THE HG BEARCATS DEFEATED THE TC BULLDOGS 20-12 AT ED FOUNTAIN PARK FIELD 8 Jacob Mendez scored a touchdown with 2 minutes left in the game to lift the HG Bearcats to victory. The Bearcats scored in the 2nd quarter on a 10 yard run by Dylan Keyes for a 6-0 lead. The Bulldogs came right back and scored on a nice 56 yard pass to Jaden Ireland from QB Davon Booth for a 6-6 tie at halftime. After a scoreless 3rd quarter and most of the 4th quarter, the Bearcats scored on a 3 yard run by Jacob Mendez with just 2 minutes remaining in the game. They made a key 1 point conversion and led 13-6. After the kickoff the Bulldogs scored on the 1st play as Davon Booth sprinted 56 yards for a touchdown. But they couldn’t convert the PAT and the Bearcats led 13-12. The Bulldogs tried an onside kick but Jacob Mendez scooped up the ball and ran 48 yards for a game ending touchdown. The Bearcats rushed for 163 yards on 35 carries and Dylan Keyes was the main work horse with 75 yards on 18 carries. Elijah Harmen chipped in with 49 yards rushing. For the Bearcats defense Jack Studley recovered a fumble and Camren Welch had an interception. The Bulldogs Davon Booth had a huge game and a great season overall. He rushed for 183 yards and passed for 120 yards. THE #1 SEED MOJ GREEN MACHINE DEFEATED THE #8 SEED AV AGGIES 42-0 AT MOJAVE HS Xavier Delong scored 3 touchdowns to power the LV Green Machine to playoff win as they looked like a strong #1 seed. Delong scored on runs of 30, 50, and 60 yards. Deshaun Noble scored 2 touchdowns as he set the tone on the opening kickoff with untouched 90 yard kickoff return for a TD. He also scored on a brilliant 80 yard pass from QB Xavier Delong. Elijah Alvarez also scored 2 touchdowns on 15 & 50 yard runs for the Machine. The Green Machine offense looked well-oiled and running on all cylinders as they piled up 195 yards rushing with Xavier Delong gaining 105 yards. Delong also passed for 100 yards. The Green Machine defense was invincible as Delong recovered a fumble and Ishad Livingston and Shannon Paule had interceptions. The Aggies were led by QB Hayden Stimpson with 70 yards passing while completing 6 of 13 passes. Wide receiver Myles Alvarez had 5 catches for 60 yards. The Aggies played very hard but in the end could not stop the top seeded Green Machine. The Green Machine advance into the semi-finals where they will take on the Ducks who should really challenge the Green Machine’s ignition. THE #2 SEED HG COWBOYS DEFEATED THE #7 SEED LV COWBOYS 34-6 AT ED FOUNTAIN PARK FIELD 8 In the end it was the Henderson Cowboys that proved to be the sheriff’s on Saturday as they took down the Las Vegas Cowboys at Ed Fountain Park. Zyrus Fiaseu scored 2 touchdowns and QB Micah Bowens passed for 2 touchdowns in leading the Cowboys to victory. Fiaseu scored on runs of 11 & 34 yards and Bowens passed to Jimmy Petrie 25 yards for a TD and 36 yards to Aaron Johnson for a TD. Maurice Hampton returned a kickoff 62 yards for the HG Cowboys. The LV Cowboys lone touchdown was on a 21 yard pass from Evan Olaes to Tahjae Barnes. The HG Cowboys were led by Zyrus Fiaseu with 45 yards rushing and Micah Bowens with 61 yards passing. Stetler Harms had an interception on defense for the HG Cowboys. The LV Cowboys were led by Thomas Lane and Tahjae Barnes with a combined 65 yards rushing and Michael Silva had a fumble recovery. The Henderson Cowboys have a date with the BG Gators in two weeks where they will look to earn a spot in the championship game with a victory. The Las Vegas Cowboys meanwhile will look to get one final pre-San Diego tune up with a Bowl Game victory over the 702 49ers next time out. May 9th, 2015 THE MOJ GREEN MACHINE DEFEATED THE BG GATROS 39-6 AT MOJAVE HS The Mojave Green Machine finished out a perfect regular season with a huge victory over a strong Gators squad at Mojave High school this past Saturday. Xavier Delong had a huge day passing for 3 touchdowns and running for another in leading the LV Green Machine to a big win. Delong ran 5 yards for a touchdowns and passed 26 & 25 yards to Deshaun Noble, and 30 yards to Ishad Livingston for TD. Noble also ran 7 yards for touchdowns and Akendell Wilson scored on a 25 yard run for the Machine. The Gators lone touchdown was on 5 yard pass to Alexander Dumaurier from QB Ammonte Beverly. The Green Machine rushed for 144 yards with Deshaun Noble and Xavier Delong combining for 107 yards. Delong passed for 102 yards. The Green Machine defense was superb getting 3 QB sacks and fumble recoveries by Elijah Alvarez. The Gators managed just 58 yards rushing and QB Ammonte Beverly passes for 35 yards. One of the Divisions top rushed Brayden Thomas was held to 36 yards rushing. The Green Machine enters the playoffs as the top seed and will take on the Arbor View Aggies in a first round playoff matchup. The Gators meanwhile the playoffs as the #3 seed and will take on the Wolf Pack next Saturday in a first round battle. THE 702 49ERS DEFEATED THE HG BEARCATS 24-13 AT SILVERADO HS The 702 49ers looked stellar yet again as they earned their 5th straight victory in taking down the Bearcats at Silverado High School this past weekend. Sabastian Iocalano scored 1 touchdown and had 140 yards in offense to lead the Silverado 702 49ers to victory. Iocalano scored on a 15 yard pass from QB Dexter Campbell. Christopher Maea scored on a 5 yard run, Lehi Ausage scored on a 50 yard run, Christian Ladislao scored on a 47 yard run, and Byron Viloria scored on a nice 60 yard run for the 49ers. The Bearcats scored on a 2 yard run by Dylan Keyes who also rambled 55 yards on a kickoff return for a score. The 49ers rushed for 256 yards behind excellent blocking by their offensive line. Byron Viloria led the way with 76 yards and Sabastian Iocalano, Christian Ladislao, and Lehi Ausage combined for 162 yards rushing. QB Dexter Campbell passed for 85 yards. The Bearcats were led by Dylan Keyes and Elijah Harmen with a combined 87 yards rushing. The 49ers enter the playoffs as a red hot #4 seed and will take on the Ducks in the first round while the Bearcats just missed the playoffs but will look to play hard yet again in their bowl matchup with the TC Bulldogs. THE LV DUCKS DEFEATED THE LV COWBOYS 28-0 AT ED FOUNTAIN PARK #8 The Las Vegas Ducks flapped their way to a big victory behind a big passing performance on Saturday at Ed Fountain Park. Ty Luce scored 3 touchdowns on passes from QB Tajon Bullock to lead the LV Ducks to a nice victory. Luce caught touchdown passes covering 25, 60, and 15 yards from QB Tajon Bullock. Johrdan Collins also scored for the Ducks on a 37 yard run. The Ducks offense rushed for 148 yards with Keanu Flores and Johrdan Collins combining for 102 yards rushing. QB Tajon Bullock passed for 146 yards, all to Ty Luce on 4 receptions. The Ducks defense was spectacular holding the Cowboys to just 50 yards of offense. Jose Buddy Carrasco had an interception for the Ducks defense. The Cowboys offense was led by QB Evan Olaes with 47 yards passing. On defense Thomas Lane had 2 QB sacks. The Ducks take on the 49ers in what should be a great 4/5 playoff battle while the Cowboys have a date with the Henderson Cowboys in their first round playoff matchup. THE HG WOLF PACK DEFEATED THE AV AGGIES 36-12 AT LIBERTY HS The Henderson Wolf Pack earned a big Saturday victory for their playoff seeding as they managed to slow down the Aggies at Liberty High School. MVP candidate Corey Herbert and Tofa Wilson each scored 2 touchdowns to power the Hg Wolf Pack to victory. Herbert scored on 35 & 55 yard runs and Wilson scored on 20 & 8 yard runs for the Wolf Pack. Colin Rerecich also scored on a 2 yard burst for the Wolf Pack. The Aggies scored on a 40 yard kickoff return by Nolan Weir and a 10 yard run by Carlos Garcia II. The Wolf Pack rushed for 163 yards with Corey Herbert gaining 130 yards and totaling 879 yards for the season. Herbert also passed for 54 yards and had a interception on defense. Austyn Case recovered a fumble for the Wolf Pack defense. The Aggies rushed for 113 yards with Carlos Garcia II gaining 40 yards. The Wolf Pack will take on the Gators in a first round playoff battle while the Aggies face off with the Green Machine in a first round playoff matchup as well. THE CIM STORM DEFEATED THE TC BULLDOGS 27-24 AT CIMARRON HS The Cimarron Storm earned an invigorating victory over the Bulldogs at Cimarron High School this past weekend. Kendall Lightfoot had a great game as he scored 4 fumbles to power the Storm to a huge victory. The Storm grabbed a 6-0 lead in the 2nd quarter on a 20 yard run by Kendall Lightfoot. The Bulldogs tied the score at 6-6 on an electrifying 85 yard run. Still in the 2nd quarter the Storm scored on a 30 yard run by Lightfoot for a 13-6 lead. Before halftime the Bulldogs scored on a nice 70 yard pass to Davon Booth from QB Deavonte Mcgee and the Storm led 13-12. The 3rd quarter was scoreless as both defenses played great. In the 4th quarter the Storm scored on a 35 yard run by Kendall Lightfoot for a 2012 lead. The Bulldogs were hungry and scored on a 45 yard run by Josuha Cola and the Storm led 20-18. But once again the Storm raged back and Kendall Lightfoot struck again on a 45 yard run for a 27-18 lead. But the Bulldogs still had some bite and they scored on a 52 yard run by Deavonte Mcgee, and the Storm led 27-24. The Storm recovered an onside kick attempt and ran out the clock for the victory. The key to this win for the Storm was their converting 3 one point conversions, 2 by Leonard Robbs. The Storm offense rushed for 287 yards with Kendall Lightfoot gaining 207 yards rushing. Lightfoot also recovered a fumble on defense. The Bulldogs offense produced 272 yards on the ground with Davon Booth gaining 88 yards. They also passed for 105 yards. The Storm will take on the Blackhawks in a Bowl Game this Saturday while the Bulldogs will take on the Bearcats in a similar matchup. THE HG COWBOYS DEFEATED THE LV BLACKHAWKS 40-6 AT LIBERTY HS The Henderson Cowboys secured the #2 seed heading into the Minor Division playoffs thanks to a strong offensive showing at Liberty High School this past Saturday. Kyle Fulton scored 2 touchdowns to lead the HG Cowboys to victory. Fulton scored on 20 & 6 yard runs and Nathan Palmer returned an interception for a touchdown. Tristan Saghin returned a punt 30 yards for a score and Nikolas Salter ran 50 yards for a touchdown for the Cowboys. Also Conner Maroushek scored on a 7 yard run for the Cowboys. The Blackhawks only touchdown was on a Incredible 75 yard kickoff return by Michael Anderson Jr. The Cowboys were led by their defense which allowed just 17 total yards by the Blackhawks. Nathan Palmer and Matthew Orlando had interceptions on defense for the Cowboys. The Blackhawks did their best and played hard throughout the game, but the Cowboys talent was just too much. The Cowboys will take on the Las Vegas Cowboys in a battle of the stars at Ed Fountain Park this Saturday. The Blackhawks meanwhile will take on the Storm in what should be an exciting Bowl Game. GREEN MACHINE DEFEATED THE HG COWBOYS 18-0 AT ED FOUNTAIN PARK #8 ON 4/30 In the Minor Division game of the year thus far, the Mojave Green Machine defeated the Henderson Cowboys thanks to a stellar defensive showing under the lights on Thursday night at Ed Fountain Park. Deshaun Noble scored 2 touchdowns to power the LV Green Machine to a very big win. Noble scored in the 1st quarter on a 10 yard run for a 6-0 lead. In the 2nd quarter Noble scored on a nifty 70 yard run for a 12-0 Green Machine lead. After a scoreless 3rd quarter the Green Machine scored in the 4th quarter on a 2 yard run by Xavier Delong for an 18-0 lead. With The Green Machine defense playing very well they shut down the Cowboys offense to preserve the victory. The Green Machine relied on their powerful running attack with MVP candidate Deshaun Noble rushing for 137 yards. On defense Ishad Livingston had an interception for the Green Machine. The Cowboys talented offense was stymied by the aggressive Green Machine defense. Zyrus Fiaseu led the Cowboys with just 36 yards rushing and QB Micah Bowens completed just 1 of 8 passes for 20 yards. The Green Machine have one big matchup ahead of them next weekend against the Gators as they look to complete an undefeated regular season and secure the #1 seed heading into the playoffs. The Cowboys meanwhile will be looking to reload for the playoffs when they take on the Blackhawks Saturday afternoon at Liberty High School. THE LV DUCKS DEFEATED THE TC BULLDOGS 42-0 AT MOJAVE HS FFT THE LV COWBOYS DEFEATED THE HG BEARCATS 26-6 AT BASIC HS The Las Vegas Cowboys had just enough offense to take down the Bearcats for a big victory at Basic High School this past weekend. Evan Olaes passed for 2 touchdowns and ran for another to lead the LV Cowboys to victory. Olaes passed 72 yards to Tahjae Barnes for a score and 35 yards to Anthony Davison for a another touchdown. Olaes also ran 3 yards for a touchdown. Jamari Cannon put a little icing on the cake with an excellent 70 yard pick 6 for the Cowboys. The Bearcats lone score was on a 19 yard pass to Andrew Woods from QB James Stiffler. The Cowboys offense was led by QB Evan Olaes with 118 yards passing. The Cowboys defense played very well with Keaun Jackson recovering a fumble and Jamari Cannon had the pick 6. The Bearcats offense rushed for 54 yards and passed for 26 yards. Their defense did a great job against the run holding the Cowboys to just 33 yards rushing, but the Cowboys were able to take advantage of the opportunities they had to come up with the victory. The Cowboys will look for one final victory next weekend when they take on the Las Vegas Ducks in one final regular season matchup. The Bearcats meanwhile have one final regular season matchup ahead of them with the 702 49ers at Silverado High School next weekend for their final regular season game. THE BG GATORS DEFEATED THE CIM STORM 42-0 AT CIMARRON HS The Bishop Gorman Gators earned yet another big regular season victory as they defeated the Cimarron Storm at Cimarron High School this past Saturday to keep their hopes of earning a #1 seed in the playoffs alive. Braden Thomas and Andrew Montez each scored 2 touchdowns to power the BG Gators to victory. Thomas scored on runs of 35 & 15 yards and Montez scored on runs of 19 & 65 yards. Raul Guissa scooped up a fumble and rambled 80 yards for a touchdown for the Gators defense. A'naya Davidson scored on a 15 yard TD pass from QB Ammonte Beverly and Beverly passed 51 yards to Bren Coffman Jr for a Gators TD. THE 702 49ERS DEFEATED THE HG WOLF PACK 25-12 AT SILVERADO HS The 702 49ers earned their 4th straight victory with a gold victory over the Henderson Wolf Pack at Silverado High School Lehi Ausage scored a touchdown and had 112 yards in total offense in leading the 49ers to a big victory. The Wolf Pack jumped out in front 6-0 on a 12 pass to Robert Gwinner from QB Corey Herbert. The 49ers tied the score at 6-6 in the 2nd quarter on a 3 yard run by Sabastian Iocalano. In the 3rd quarter the 49ers scored on a 5 yard run by Byron Viloria for a 12-6 lead. The Wolf Pack tied the game at 12-12 on Corey Herbert's 38 yard run. But the 4th quarter was all 49ers as John Newman Jr scored on a 6 yard run and Lehi Ausage caught a 40 yard pass from QB Dexter Campbell for a 25-12 win. The 49ers offense rushed for 283 yards behind awesome blocking by their offensive line. Christopher Maestas led the ground attack with 117 yards and Lehi Ausage added 72 yards rushing. The 49ers defense came up with 2 key interceptions by Gabriel Prince and Dominick Payne. THE AV AGGIES DEFEATED THE LV BLACKHAWKS 24-12 AT MOJAVE HS The Arbor View Aggies earned a huge Minor Division victory as they put themselves in great position to make the playoffs thanks to this victory over the Blackhawks. Carlos Garcia II scored 3 touchdowns to power the AV Aggies to victory. The Aggies scored in the 1st quarter on a 9 yard run by Hayden Stimpson for a 6- 0 lead. In the 2nd quarter the Blackhawks scored on a 10 yard pass from QB Brandon Furey for 6-6 tie. The Aggies answered right back with great 59 yard run by Carlos Garcia II for a 12- 6 halftime lead. With both defenses playing well in the 3rd quarter, the score remained 12-6. In the 4th quarter the Blackhawks tied it up at 12-12 on a 5 yard run by Brandon Furey. April 25th, 2015 THE HG COWBOYS DEFEATED THE BG GATORS 36-6 AT ED FOUNTAIN PARK #6 ON 4/23 The Henderson Cowboys made a major statement on Thursday Night as they took down a rival undefeated team in the Bishop Gorman Gators at Ed Fountain Park. Micah Bowens ran for 1 touchdown and passed for 2 more to lead the Cowboys to victory. Bowens scampered 65 yards for a touchdown and passed 39 yards to Maurice Hampton and 43 yards to Nikolas Salter. Zyrus Fiaseu galloped 76 yards for a touchdown and Cowboy Stetler Harms scored on a 3 yard run. The Gators lone touchdown was scored by Braden Thomas on a 9 yard run. The Cowboys potent running attack accumulated 245 yards rushing behind a fine job by their offensive line. Zyrus Fiaseu and Micah Bowens combined for 157 yards rushing and Bowens passed for 93 yards. For the Cowboys defense Ayzayah Hartfield and DJ Bealer recovered fumbles. THE LV DUCKS DEFEATED THE LV BLACKHAWKS 42-0 AT ED FOUNTAIN PARK #8 The Las Vegas Ducks opened up Saturday morning action with a huge victory over the Blackhawks at Ed Fountain Park. Aiden Boyle had a big game scoring 3 touchdowns to lead the Ducks to victory. Boyle scored on runs of 15, 55 and 4 yards. Tajon Bullock scored 2 TDS on a 40 yard run and a pick 6 covering 90 yards for the Ducks. Keanu Flores also scored for the Ducks on a 28 yard run. The Ducks offense rushed for 207 yards with Aiden Boyle and Keanu Flores combining for 149 yards. The Ducks defense played great and put tremendous pressure on the Blackhawks QBS. The defense made 8 sacks with Lee McCracken getting 4 and Kevin Love II getting 2 sacks. Tajon Bullock recovered a fumble and a pick 6 interception. THE 702 49ERS DEFEATED THE CIM STORM 38-0 AT SILVERADO HS The 49ers found the golden end zone early and often in their shutout victory over the Cimarron Storm at Silverado High School. Byron Viloria and Christian Ladislao each scored 2 touchdowns to power the 49ers to victory. Viloria scored on runs of 16 & 8 yards and Ladislao scored on runs of 21 & 15 yards. Also scoring for the 49ers was Gabriel Prince on a 13 yard run and Lehi Ausage on a 43 yard TD pass from QB Dexter Campbell. The 49ers offense was powered by their offense line, as they plowed the way for 291 yards rushing. Sabastian Iocalano, Byron Viloria, and Christian Ladislao combined for 230 yards rushing, and QB Dexter Campbell passed for 69 yards. GREEN MACHINE DEFEATED THE HG WOLF PACK 33-0 AT BASIC HS The Green Machine remained undefeated as they defeated the Wolf Pack at Basic High School to remain undefeated. Xavier Delong passed for 2 touchdowns to lead the LV Green Machine to a big victory. Delong passed 40 yards to Elijah Alvarez and 19 yards to Ishad Livingston for touchdowns. Elijah Alvarez had a big game scoring on runs of 8 & 30 yards for the Machine. The Green Machine offense rushed for 156 yards with Alvarez and Delong combining for 146 yards. Xavier Delong passed for 87 yards. The Green Machine defense played very well recovering 2 fumbles one by Xavier Delong. They contained the divisions rushing leader Corey Herbert and the Wolf Pack offense to just 59 total yards. The Machine have their biggest test yet next weekend when they take on the Cowboys at Ed Fountain Park in game of the week action. THE HG BEARCATS DEFEATED THE TC BULLDOGS 20-12 AT ED FOUNTAIN PARK #8 In a very even Minor Division game, the Henderson Bearcats had just enough offense to earn the victory over the TC Bulldogs at Ed Fountain Park. Jacob Mendez scored the go ahead touchdown in the 2nd quarter to lead the Bearcats to a big win. The Bulldogs took a 6-0 lead in the 1st quarter on a 10 yard run by Davon Booth. The Bearcats came right back and grabbed the lead 7-6 on a 35 yard run by Elijah Harmen. The Bearcats increased their lead to 13-6 in the 2nd quarter on the Mendez touchdown. In the 3rd quarter the Bearcats scored on a 4 yard run by Dylan Keyes for a 20-6 advantage. In the 4th quarter the Bulldogs mounted a comeback and scored on 8 yard run by Davon Booth, and the Bearcats led 20-12. However the Bearcats defense played tough and the Bulldogs ran out of time. The Bearcats offense was led by Elijah Herman with 65 yards rushing. Dylan Keyes and Jacob Mendez combined for 67 yards rushing as well. The Bearcats defense played very well with Geovanni Perez getting an interception and Camren Welch recovered a fumble. THE LV COWBOYS DEFEATED THE AV AGGIES 14-12 AT MOJAVE HS In a fantastic battle between two rivals, the Las Vegas Cowboys edged out the Arbor View Aggies by the skin of their teeth at Mojave HS. Thomas Lane scored on a 23 yard run in the 3rd quarter for the Cowboys for the would be winning touchdown. The Aggies scored on a 5 yard run in the 1st quarter by Carlos Garcia II for a 6-0 lead. The Cowboys got on the board with a defensive safety by Tahjae Barnes in the 2nd quarter and trailed 6-2. Later in the 2nd quarter the Cowboys took an 8-6 lead on a 22 yard run by Jamari Cannon. In the 3rd quarter Thomas Lane scored and the Cowboys led 14-6. In the 4th quarter the Aggies mounted a comeback and scored on a 30 yard pass to Carlos Garcia II from QB Christian Warner, and the Cowboys led 14-12. The Cowboys defense stopped the Aggies on their next possession and ran out the clock for the big win. April 18th, 2015 THE LV BLACKHAKWS DEFEATED THE TC BULLDOGS 30-14 AT ED FOUNTAIN PARK FIELD 8 ON 4/17 Friday night action was kind to the Blackhawks as they took down the Bulldogs in a great game at Ed Fountain Park. Brandon Furey had huge game passing for 4 touchdowns and running for another in leading the Blackhawks to victory. Furey completed 30, 12, and 13 yard TD passes to Michael Anderson JR, and 20 yards to for a touchdown. Furey also ran for a 1 yard touchdown. The Bulldogs scored on 2 short runs by Josuha Cola and a 35 yard TD pass to Adrien Pidgeon from QB Davon Booth. The Blackhawks offense was led by Brandon Furey with the best passing performance of the year. Furey completed 14 of 23 passes for 237 yards and 4 TDS. Michael Anderson Jr was his favorite target catching 7 passes for 132 yards. For the Blackhawks defense Jaiden Romero recovered a fumble. The Aggies took a 6-0 lead in the 2nd quarter on a remarkable 60 yard pass to Carlos Garcia II from QB Hayden Stimpson. The 49ers answered back with a 51 yard pass to Lehi Ausage from Campbell, and with a 2 point conversion they led 8-6 at the half. In the 3rd quarter the 49ers scored on a 9 yard run by Byron Viloria for a 16-6 lead. With their defense playing very well the 49ers scored an insurance TD on a 22 yard touchdown pass to Lehi Ausage from Campbell for a 22-6 final score. The 49ers offense used a balanced attack with 181 yards rushing and 154 yards passing. Christian Ladislao and Sabastian Iocalano combined for 106yards rushing, and Lehi Ausage caught 4 passes for 86 yards for the 49ers. Dexter Campbell completed 7 of 20 passes for 154 yards. THE MOJ GREEN MACHINE DEFEATED THE LV COWBOYS 40-8 AT MOJAVE HS Deshaun Noble had a big game scoring 3 touchdowns to power the Green Machine to victory as they were able to roar their engines past the Las Vegas Cowboys. Noble scored on runs of 18, 50, and 43 yards. Xavier Delong also a nice game scoring, on a 60 yard jaunt and a beautiful 55 yard punt return. Ishad Livingston scored on a 14 yard pass from QB Elijah Alvarez for another Green Machine touchdown. The Green Machine defense also got in on the scoring with a safety. The Cowboys lone touchdown was scored by Anthony Davison on a 30 yard pass from QB Evan Olaes. The Green Machine offense tore through the Cowboys Wranglers behind excellent blocking by their offensive line. With Deshaun Noble leading the way with 142 yards, the Machine accumulated 322 yards rushing and 13 first downs. Noble’s running mate Xavier Delong contributed 89 yards rushing. The Wolf Pack came right back and Corey Herbert juked his way 50 yards for a touchdown and a 12-6 lead. Still in the 3rd quarter the Ducks ties the score at 12-12 on a 1 yard run by Aiden Boyle. In the 4th quarter the Ducks defense clamped down on the dangerous Herbert and held the Wolf Pack scoreless. DJ Bealer ran for 1 touchdown and passed for 2 more touchdowns in leading the Cowpokes to victory in this rodeo. Bealer scored on a 3 yard run and passed 35 yards to Kyle Fulton, and 20 yards to Zyrus Fiaseu for TDS. Micah Gallegos passed 40 yards to Jimmy Petrie for a touchdown and Conner Maroushek scored on a 10 yard run for the Cowboys. Jayden Morefield scored on a 2 yard run, and Stetler Harms scored on a 5 yard run for the Cowboys. The Cowboys offense was very efficient and their defense was dominant. Tofa Wilson scored on a 13 yard run and Jakob Petry had a fabulous 80 yard fumble return for a touchdown to cap another impressive showing for the Wolf Pack. For the Bearcats Jacob Mendez caught a beautiful 60 yard TD pass from QB James Stiffler for their only score. The Wolf Packs offensive line gave Corey Herbert and his running mates plenty of room in route to 222 yards rushing. Herbert scampered for 152 yards on 10 rushes and also passed for 68 yards. Zyrus Fiaseu scored two touchdowns to power the HG Cowboys to victory. Fiaseu scored on runs covering 42 & 20 yards in the 1st half in helping the Cowboys build a 28-6 lead. Micah Bowens scored in the 1st quarter on a 50 yard run, and Maurice Hampton returned an interception 43 yards for a score in the 2nd quarter for the Cowboys. Nikolas Salter scored on a 47 yard scamper and Sheik Fofanah closed out the Cowboys scoring with a 10 yard run. The Ducks lone touchdown was scored by Keanu Flores on a 5 yard run. Sabastian Iocalano scored on a 26 yard run in the 2nd quarter for the would be winning touchdown, to lead the 49ers to victory. The 49ers took a 6-0 lead in the 1st on a 4 yard run by Sabastian Iocalano. The Blackhawks scored in the 2nd quarter on a 1 yard plunge by Brandon Furey for a 6-6 tie. In the 2nd quarter Iocalano scored the winner for the 49ers for a 12-6 lead at the half. With Both team playing great defense the 49ers scored an insurance touchdown in the 4th quarter on a 2 yard run by Byron Viloria and an 18-6 final score. The 49ers rushed for 209 yards with Sabastian Iocalano, Byron Viloria, and Lehi Ausage combining for 171 yards rushing. QB Dexter Campbell passed for 69 yards as well for the 49ers. On defense Lehi Ausage had an interception and Gabriel Prince recovered a fumble. The Blackhawks were led by QB Brando Furey with 46 yards passing. On defense JC Bingham Jr and Devante Moncrief recovered fumbles for the Blackhawks. The 49ers will look to get back to .500 on the season with their 2nd straight victory over the Arbor View Aggies next weekend. The Blackhawks meanwhile will look to get to .500 as well on the season when they take on the TC Bulldogs in Friday night action at Ed Fountain Park. THE BG GATORS DEFEATED THE TC BULLDOGS 25-0 AT ED FOUNTAIN PARK FIELD 8 The Gators managed to take out a stingy iron man TC Bulldogs in a shutout at Ed Fountain Park this past weekend. The BG Gators defense played excellent, holding the Bulldogs to under 50 yards of total offense in leading them to victory. Raul Guissa scored in the 1st quarter on a 3 yard run and Ammonte Beverly scored on a 20 yard run. In the 3rd quarter Dumaurier Alexander scored on a 7 yard run and Braden Thomas scored on a 20 yard run. The Gators offense rushed for 128 yards with Braden Thomas and Raul Guissa combining for 87 yards. Braden Thomas had an interception for the Gator defense. The Bulldogs played hard and did their best. They were led by Davon Booth with 34 yards rushing and an interception on defense. The Gators will look to chomp out another victory next weekend when they take on the Henderson Bearcats back at Ed Fountain Park. The Bulldogs meanwhile will try again for a victory against the Las Vegas Blackhawks in Friday night lights action at Ed Fountain Park. March 28th, 2015 THE HG WOLF PACK DEFEATED THE LV BLACKHAWKS 42-6 AT BASIC HS The Henderson Wolf Pack howled their way to another big victory this weekend as they defeated the Las Vegas Blackhawks at Basic High School behind an offensive explosion. Corey Herbert looked in fine form as he scored 3 touchdowns and rushed for 179 yards to power the Wolf Pack to victory. Herbert scored on runs of 6, 60, 30, and passed 17 yards to Al Samir Caesar for another TD. Tofa Wilson also had a big game scoring on 7 & 5 yard runs for the Wolf Pack. The Blackhawks lone touchdown was on an exhilarating 75 yard kickoff return by Javon Fields. The Wolf Pack offense rushed for 248 yards with Tofa Wilson gaining 49 yards in the contest. Corey Herbert completed 5 of 9 passes for 110 yards. The Wolf Pack defense played well getting an interception by Alex Grajeda and fumble recoveries by Semaal Alford and Grajeda. The Blackhawks offense was led by Christian Andrew Geminiano de Perales with 74 yards rushing. On defense Brandon Furey had an interception for the Blackhawks. The Blackhawks will look to get back above .500 when they take on the 702 49ers next time out. The Wolf Pack meanwhile will look to get to 3-0 when they take on the Henderson Bearcats at Silverado High School next time out. THE MOJ GREEN MACHINE DEFEATED THE CIM STORM 42-0 AT CIMARRON HS The Mojave Green Machine looked very impressive this weekend as they earned their 2nd Minor Division victory of the year over the Cimarron Storm. Xavier Delong had a huge game scoring 3 touchdowns, and rushing for 168 yards to lead the Green Machine to victory. Delong scored on runs of 5, 53, and 40 yards. Deshaun Noble scored 3 TDS as well for the Machine on a 5 yard run, a 30 yard pass from QB Terrance Henderson, and a 55 yard pass from Delong. Terrance Henderson also got into the act with a fabulous 95 yard run. The Green Machine was running on all cylinders as they powered their way for 347 yards rushing. Their offensive line did an outstanding job blocking. Besides Delong's 168 yards, Terrance Henderson ran for 155 yards, and Deshaun Noble caught 2 passes for 85 yards. The Green Machine defense recovered 2 fumbles by Xavier Delong and John Lee. The Storm played hard but couldn’t match the Machines running game. They were led by Kadreion Payne with 45 yards rushing. The Storm will look to regain some strength for their next contest against the Las Vegas Cowboys while the Green Machine will look to race to another win over the Arbor View Aggies. THE AV AGGIES DEFEATED THE HG BEARCATS 13-0 AT DEL SOL HS The Arbor View Aggies earned their first Minor Division victory of the year in a low scoring matchup with the Henderson Predators this past weekend. The Aggies used an aggressive solid defense to shut down the Bearcats and lead them to a nice victory. In the 1st quarter Carlos Garcia II scored on an 11 yard run for a 6-0 lead. In the 2nd quarter Nolan Weir caught a beautiful 65 yard pass from QB Hayden Stimpson for a 13-0 lead, and would be final score. The 2nd half was all defense and the Aggies went on to victory. The Aggie offense was led by Carlos Garcia II with 38 yards rushing and Nolan Weir with 65 yards receiving. Darien Salcido-Stubbs recovered a fumble for the Aggie defense as well. The Bearcats had a tough time against the Aggie aggressive defense but were led by QB James Stiffler with 29 yards passing on 3 of 4 passing. Mason Baillareon led the Bearcat defense with an interception. The Aggies will look to build on their first win in their matchup with the Green Machine next weekend while the Bearcats look to bounce back against the Henderson Wolf Pack next time out. THE LV COWBOYS DEFEATED THE TC BULLDOGS 30-0 AT MOJAVE HS The Las Vegas Cowboys roped and wrangled their way to a shutout victory over the TC Bulldogs at Mojave High School this past weekend. The Cowboys defense came up with 5 turnovers and 3 sacks to lead their team to victory. The Cowpokes defensive wranglers had the Bulldogs hogtied all day long and the turnovers created easy scoring opportunities for the offense. In the 1st quarter the Cowboys defense opened the scoring with a safety. Thomas Lane scored on a 7 yard run and Evan Olaes scored on a 5 yard run for the Cowboys to get the offense riding high. Also scoring was Tahjae Barnes on a 1 yard run and Donovahn Rose on a 5 yard jaunt. Evan Olaes led the Cowboys offense with 92 yards passing and 27 yards rushing. Recovering fumbles for the Cowboys defense were Cahill Laws, Daniel Merrill, Thomas Lane, and Jakub Campbell. Alexander Mathis had an interception for the Cowboys defense. For the Bulldogs Davon Booth led the offense with 39 yards rushing. On defense Josuha Cola had a fumble recovery and Jayden Ireland had an interception. The Cowboys will look to start a little winning streak with a win in their next contest against the Cimarron Storm at Cimarron High School. The Bulldogs meanwhile will look to lick their wounds and recover for their matchup with the Gators in two weeks. THE BG GATORS DEFEATED THE LV DUCKS 25-0 AT LIBERTY HS The Gators looked very impressive yet again as they shut out the Ducks by a score of 25-0 at Liberty High School this past weekend. Braden Thomas had a huge game scoring all 4 Gator touchdowns and rushing for 196 yards in leading the Gators to victory. Thomas scored on runs of 4, 75, 40, and 60 yards all while showing great speed and allusiveness. The Gators offensive line did a fine job clearing the way for Thomas as they totaled 233 yards rushing. The Gators defense played fabulous getting two interceptions from Dumaurier Alexander and Raul Guissa. They also got a fumble recovery and a sack from Johnathan Pickett Jr. The Ducks played hard and were led by Tajon Bullock and Keanu Flores with a combined 78 yards rushing. Flores also had a fumble recovery as did Anthony Hernandez for the Ducks. The Gators will look to keep swimming along in two weeks when they take on the TC Bulldogs at Ed Fountain Park. The Ducks meanwhile will look to bounce back in their matchup with the Henderson Cowboys back at Liberty High School. THE HG COWBOYS DEFEATED THE 702 49ERS 42-0 AT SILVERADO HS The Henderson Cowboys evened the score between the Cowboys and 49ers as they took the 2nd of two battles between these two rivals thanks to a huge Minor Division showing. Zyrus Fiaseu put a real hurting on his old 49ers team scoring 3 touchdowns to lead the Cowpokes in this rodeo. Fiaseu scored on a 30 yard run, a rambling 40 yard punt return, and a 5 yard run. Other Cowboy wranglers who scored were Stetler Harms on a 20 yard pass from QB Micah Bowens and Jimmy Petrie on a 5 yard run. Not to be outdone, Maurice Hampton scored on a 5 yard interception and Jayden Morefield on a 3 yard run. The Cowboys rushed for 165 yards with Fiaseu gaining 55 yards and Micah Bowens passed for 65 yards. The Cowboys defense was awesome getting 2 QB sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, and 2 interceptions. Recovering fumble were Kyle Fulton and Zyrus Fiaseu with interceptions by Stetler Harms and Maurice Hampton. Kaleo Knoblock led the 49ers offense with 25 yards rushing and Dexter Campbell passed for 19 yards. For the 49ers defense, Sabastian Iocalano had an interception and Gabriel Prince recovered a fumble. The Cowboys will look to stay in the undefeated saddle when they take on the Las Vegas Ducks next time out. March 21st, 2015 THE HG WOLF PACK DEFEATED THE TC BULLDOGS 47-18 AT BASIC HS The Henderson Wolf Pack howled their way to a week 1 victory over the TC Bulldogs as they flashed their teeth for a 47-18 victory at Basic High School. Tofa Wilson had a big game scoring 3 touchdowns to lead the Wolf Pack to victory. Wilson scored on runs of 5, 48, and 45 yards and La'Quan Macklin scored on a 22 yard run and 36 yard pass from QB Corey Herbert. Herbert also got in on the action scoring on a jutting 50 yard run. The Bulldogs rallied in the 4th quarter scoring all 3 of their touchdowns. Davon Booth scored on a 35 yard run and a brilliant 90 yard kickoff return. Deavonte Mcgee scored on a 3 yard run for the Bulldogs as well in the losing effort. The Wolf Pack had an amazing day on offense gaining 443 total yards. Their offensive line did a fabulous job blocking. Corey Herbert looking solid as always, rushed for 172 yards to lead all runners. His running mates Tofa Wilson and La'Quan Macklin combined for 214 yards rushing. Herbert also passed for 41 yards and recovered a fumble. Tofa Wilson also recovered a fumble. For the Bulldogs QB Deavonte Mcgee led the offense with 89 yards passing, all to receiver Jayden Ireland. On defense Davon Booth ha an interception. The Wolf Pack will be on the hunt for win #2 next weekend when they take on the Blackhawks. The Bulldogs meanwhile will look to pounce on the Las Vegas Cowboys back at Mojave High School. THE LV DUCKS DEFEATED THE CIMARRON STORM 31-18 AT CIMARRON HS Keanu Flores had a big game scoring 3 touchdowns to lead the Ducks to an opening day victory. Flores scored on a 60 yard run, 3 yard run, and a 5 yard run en route to his big day. Kevin Love III scored 2 touchdowns on a 12 & 32 yard fumble returns as well. Johrdan Collins closed out the Ducks scoring with a 51 yard TD catch from QB Grant Wood. For the Storm, Kendall Lightfoot scored 3 touchdowns on runs of 58, 70, and 30 yards. Keanu Flores led the Ducks offense with 156 yards rushing on his huge day. On the other side, Kendall Lightfoot led the Storm with 144 yards rushing. On defense for the Ducks, Kevin Love III had a big game recovering 2 fumbles, and 1 QB sack. For the Storms defense Kendall Lightfoot recovered a fumble and Zyree Williams had an interception. The Ducks will look to keep flying high next weekend when they take on the BG Gators at Liberty High School. On the flip side, the Storm will look to rebound with a win over the Green Machine at Cimarron HS. THE BG GATORS DEFEATED THE AV AGGIES 42-6 AT ED FOUNTAIN FIELD 8 The Gators took our comment of having no teams in the Championship Saturday this past Fall season to heart as they came out in a big way this weekend in the Minor Division with a win over the Arbor View Aggies at Del Sol High School. Braden Thomas had a huge game scoring 4 touchdowns and rushing for 254 yards in leading the Gators to victory. Thomas scored on runs of 53, 64, 12, and 49 yards. Raul Guissa scored on a 39 yard run and Matthew Demchak scored on a 42 yard run for the Gators. The Aggies lone touchdown was scored by Carlos Garcia II on a beautiful 66 yard run. The Gators offensive line did an excellent job clearing the way for Thomas and his running mates as they amassed 334 yards rushing. The Gators defense played very well also with Cody Sullivan and Kenneth Fladger Jr recovering fumbles. The Aggies moved the ball well at times and were led by Carlos Garcia II with 90 yards rushing. For the Aggies defense, Christian Moody recovered a fumble, and Hayden Stimpson had an interception. The Gators will look to chomp out another win next weekend against the Las Vegas Ducks while The Aggies hope to bounce back with a victory over the Bearcats at Del Sol High School. THE HG COWBOYS DEFEATED THE LV COWBOYS 42-0 AT LIBERTY HS The Henderson Cowboys rode their way to a big victory over the Las Vegas Cowboys at Liberty High School starting off their title defense with a major statement victory. Maurice Hampton had a big day scoring 3 touchdowns in leading the HC Cowboys to victory. Hampton scored on 20 and 70 yard fumble returns, and a 20 yard pass from QB Micah Bowens. Kyle Fulton scored on a 50 yard fumble return and Drew Elder scored on a 25 yard pass from Bowens. Naizan Seumalo closed out the Cowboys scoring with a 2 yard run. The HC Cowboys defense was bullish holding LV Cowboys to 39 total yards. They recovered 4 fumbles with Maurice Hampton, Zyrus Fiaseu, Kyle Fulton, and Moses Lara all getting in on the act. The Henderson Cowboy defense had 4 QB sacks with Richard Brewer getting 2. The LV Cowboys played hard and did their best. Anthony Davison caught 2 passes for 15 yards and on defense Thomas Zane recovered a fumble and blocked a kick. The Henderson Cowboys will take on the 702 49ers next weekend in what should be an exciting rivalry matchup. The Las Vegas Cowboys meanwhile will hope for a better result against the TC Bulldogs at Mojave High School. THE MOJ GREEN MACHINE DEFEATED THE 702 49ERS 34-6 AT MOJAVE HS The Mojave Green Machine came out and looked well-oiled as they took down the 702 49ers at Mojave High School this past weekend. Deshaun Noble scored 2 touchdowns to lead the LV Green Machine to victory. Noble scored on runs of 11 & 34 yards and had 79 yards rushing in the contest. Xavier Delong scored on a 42 yard run and Elijah Alvarez scored on an incredible 90 yard interception return. Akendell Wilson also scored for the Green Machine on a 33 yard run. The 49ers lone touchdown came late in the 4th quarter on a 2 yard run by Byron Viloria. The Green Machine offense rolled out 218 yards rushing behind great blocking by their offensive line. Xavier Delong added 79 yards rushing for the Green Machine. The 49ers were led by Christian Ladislao with 28 yards rushing and John Newman Jr added 26 yards rushing and caught 3 passes for 37 yards. 49ers QB Dexter Campbell completed 9 of 18 passes for 111 yards. The Green Machine defense played very well, with John Lee and Terrance Henderson recovering fumbles. Atapana Malele recovered a fumble for the 49ers defense. The Green Machine will look to race out to a 2-0 start with a win over the Storm next weekend while the 49ers hope to bounce back with a victory over the Henderson Cowboys at Silverado High School. THE LV BLACKHAWKS DEFEATED THE HG BEARCATS 19-6 AT DEL SOL HS The Blackhawks soared to victory week 1 as they took down the Bearcats in a low scoring game at Del Sol High School to kick off their season! Brandon Furey threw for 2 touchdowns to lead the Blackhawks to a big opening season win. The Blackhawks took a 7-0 lead in the 1st quarter on Fureys 10 yard TD pass. In the 2nd quarter the Bearcats scored on a 20 yard run by Dylan Keyes making the score 7-6 Blackhawks. In the 3rd quarter both teams played outstanding defense and there was no scoring. In the 4th quarter the Blackhawks scored on a 2 yard run by Michael Anderson Jr for a 13-6 lead. With their defense in control they score an insurance TD on a 14 yard TD pass to Michael Anderson from Brandon Furey, and a 19-6 final score. Brandon Furey led the Blackhawks offense completing 5 of 9 passes for 59 yards. For the Bearcats Dylan Keyes led the way with 33 yards rushing and the Bearcats defense had 2 sacks and an interception. The Blackhawks will look to get a 2nd victory next weekend when they do battle with the Wolf Pack. The Bearcats meanwhile hope to land on their feet and earn a victory over the Aggies at Del Sol High School.
