Job Overview:
Reporting to the VP Business Development and Online Brokerage, the National Sales Director, Online
Brokerage is responsible for increasing AUA & AUM (Assets under Administration and Assets under
Management) from our National partners. The National Sales Director, Online Brokerage manages and
supports National partner relationships and plays a lead role in developing and sharing best practices
with the broader wholesaling team.
Duties and Responsibilities:











Offer outstanding service to existing National Partners and use superior sales skills to further
develop and cultivate these important relationships.
Enhance Qtrade Investor product/service knowledge of National Partner staff and provide ongoing
training and develop and share best practices with the broader QFG wholesaling team.
Ensure all sales and service activities are in compliance with current Qtrade Investor policies and
securities regulations.
Assist National Partners in ensuring Qtrade Investor materials and advertising located in their
branches is current and complete.
Develop and execute an effective plan to meet agreed-upon sales targets in Qtrade Investor
funded accounts.
From time to time provide training for Non-National partners in support of QFG wholesale team
members .
Deliver seminars to new and potential clients.
Proactively book and make frequent presentations at partner meetings and be actively involved in
client seminars and trade shows.
Participate in promotion and roll out of all new Qtrade Investor products and services.
Organize and promote special events, and reward and recognition programs.
Manage expenses within an approved budget.

Qualifications:












Minimum of five years investment-related sales and service experience in the financial services
industry, preferably with an investment management or online brokerage organization. Familiarity
with online brokerage platforms is critical
Proven track record of proactive sales results and growth in territory.
Capable of integrating knowledge into solutions that meet the needs of our partners’ clients, while
helping the advisor to develop strategies that allow them to capitalize on these opportunities;
Knowledge of industry best practices specifically in the areas of online brokerage, wealth
management, wealth planning, investment management philosophies and insurance strategies;
Strong relationship management skills;
Capable of integrating knowledge into solutions that meet the needs of our partners’ clients, while
helping the advisor to develop strategies that allow them to capitalize on these opportunities;
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills;
Strong knowledge of sales management principles and the ability to apply the knowledge;
Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and maintain deadlines;
Able to work effectively in a team environment;
Must be able to travel.
Must be able to work occasional evenings (client events).
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics or General Management

Preferred: Completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC), CFP and/or CIM/FCSI designations
Location: We are located downtown Vancouver at the Bentall One Building (corner of Burrard and
Pender). 2 blocks away from the Burrard Skytrain station.
