Position Description Transfer Mentors are a driving force in assisting incoming transfer students with their transition to Syracuse University. Mentors commit to at least one semester where they informally meet with mentees, and bi-weekly transfer mentor meetings and other events all centered on integrating incoming transfer students into the Syracuse community. Mentors must: 1. Be at least Sophomore status as of Fall 2015 2. Be a transfer student 3. Have a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 4. Have NO current academic or non-academic sanction judicial sanctions 5. Be willing to make a commitment for the entire fall semester Mentor Selection Timeline Wednesday April 1, 2015; 4p.m. Completed Transfer Mentor Application Due Applications must be returned in person to the Office of First-Year and Transfer Programs, 111 Waverly Avenue, Suite 006 on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 by 4p.m. Late Applications will NOT be accepted. April 6th- April 10th Individual Interviews Conducted Those candidates moving on to our interview round will participate in an individual interview that is 30 minutes in length. If you are invited to continue in the process, you will sign up for an interview time by 8pm, April 4th.
