Ambassadors in Caring for Individuals who are Medically Fragile/Frail with Developmental Disabilities Education Program Tuesday June 16, 2015 8:00 am-4:00 pm Daemen College, Wick Center Social Room Daemen College is proud to offer a program to clinicians in practice and students in health profession programs aimed at improving care for individuals who are medically frail with developmental disabilities and their families. Recognize the current dynamic nature of the health care delivery system and its impact on individuals with developmental disabilities and their families and care givers. 2. Identify legal and ethical issues affecting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families and caregivers. 3. Demonstrate commitment to ethical principles pertaining to provision or withholding of clinical care, confidentiality and informed consent related to caring for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families and caregivers. 4. Advocate for improved access to effective care for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families and caregivers. 5. Apply principles that demonstrate leadership in improving care for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families and caregivers.
