M I L K H O U SE S A F ET Y T R A I NI N G WHMIS Training for Dairy Workers The PEI Federation of Agriculture is offering WHMIS training to dairy farmers in Prince Edward Island. This training is part of a milk house safety project which was funded through Farm Credit Canada and the Canadian Agricultural Safety Association. This training will educate farmers and their employees about the hazards associated with handling chemicals along with instruction how to properly read, label and store chemicals on the farm. P E I F E D E R A TI ON OF A GR I CU L TU R E 420 University Ave, Suite 110 Charlottetown, PE This training will include viewing of our milk house safety video which was done in partnership with the Dairy Farmers of PEI, Workers Compensation Board of PEI and the PEI Agriculture Sector Council. The video outlines hazards found in the milk house and offers suggestions on how we can minimize risk and work safely. We encourage all dairy farmers and their employees to attend this training. All participants will receive WHMIS certification after completing this course.
