The following samples are actual laser embroidery pieces made in order to show the variety of items you can decorate using the Permaboss NGL laser. There are actual time studies comparing these decorations to traditional embroidery on our website or in various emails. If there is one that interests you in particular and it’s not the website, please contact us and we can send it to you directly! Ok so here is the entire setup! Something about the same space as a large fridge from your home. The laser needs to be vented outside so that there are no fumes. You need to provide a 5” outlet to within 5 or 6 feet of the final place you install your laser. This is just a simple outlet exactly like a bathroom vent in your home or office and its needed because certain laser jobs create smoke and the blower pulls it away from the garment and pushes it outside so that it doesn’t bother anyone. It’s pretty quiet and turns on and off automatically when you press start on the laser! Permaboss needs to know the brand of your machines so that we can provide the proper arms for your hoops! A cutting table that is portable is also included and jigs are available for you so that you DON’T have to hoop garments, caps etc for laser etching, it’s too fast and not worth the effort. There is a video on YouTube showing this! NGL Polar Fleece Etch Full Back replacing 100,000 stitches 235 Industrial Parkway, Unit 18, Aurora, Ontario, Canada, L4G 3V5 | Tel: 905-713-6514 Fax: 905-713-6506 www.permabosslaser.com email: info@permabosslaser.com © Permaboss.com Inc. 1999-2009 This is the 2 color felt appliqué that is similar to the AYSC one in the case study. To be clear appliqué is when you put something on top of the garment! What’s good about this type of decoration is that it’s nothing more than running stitches. This means a few things. Your garment will not pucker up because of the heavy stitch fill‐ it doesn’t exist because the felt or tackle twill replaces it! Secondly, it’s fast and inexpensive to do a larger full front design! Below you see the AYSC and the parts that are left over. You can obviously be more conservative and waste less than we did directly below! 235 Industrial Parkway, Unit 18, Aurora, Ontario, Canada, L4G 3V5 | Tel: 905-713-6514 Fax: 905-713-6506 www.permabosslaser.com email: info@permabosslaser.com © Permaboss.com Inc. 1999-2009 Same concept, but on a small pink ladies garment! This is Grand River Dance Academy and the technique of Initials and year the business was established is a very popular decoration for companies who like to be casual and informal with their gifts but up to date in terms of making it popular to actually wear! Same deal as above, it’s a felt appliqué! This is great, it’s a left chest design and it’s impossible to do without the laser, this is to keep your competition at bay. Here you will also notice that there are only running stitches so it works well on that thin polyester performance wear, it works well on waterproof nylon jackets that puncture easily with satin stitch or small letters. This design is no bigger than 4.5” across! Ok great trick here! This is one way to mimic sequins or rhinestones. By using a shiny polyester material, you can make any shape you want, in this case little hearts and make a rhinestone like or BLING effect on its own or combine with traditional embroidery! This is just another appliqué method, you put down a rectangular piece of silver or gold material from your local fabric store and then do the little tack down stitches and cuts, then laser cut and peel away the excess or outside and it’s done! 235 Industrial Parkway, Unit 18, Aurora, Ontario, Canada, L4G 3V5 | Tel: 905-713-6514 Fax: 905-713-6506 www.permabosslaser.com email: info@permabosslaser.com © Permaboss.com Inc. 1999-2009 This is the same as above but using the silver polyester to make the cage of the football helmet! The rest is tackle twill and black satin stitch to hold it all down into the garment! This design is great for full back, its multimedia and the cage part is next to impossible unless you have the laser. IMPORTANT NOTE: Your marketing strategy with the NGL laser from Permaboss is to make designs in a way that are technically impossible for your competitors to make unless they too have purchased the laser! Here is one that I like, this is a full back complex looking but not complex to make appliqué on a denim jacket!! This is a BIG design and would be a 150,000‐stitch count territory or an expensive proposition and a complicated one if you went the Dalco or Stahls route! But it’s a total cinch with the NGL laser and PROFITABLE like crazy! People will pay $25‐$30 for this but not $50‐$100 in quantity if you had to do it the old way at 100,000 plus stitches! 235 Industrial Parkway, Unit 18, Aurora, Ontario, Canada, L4G 3V5 | Tel: 905-713-6514 Fax: 905-713-6506 www.permabosslaser.com email: info@permabosslaser.com © Permaboss.com Inc. 1999-2009 These images are full back/front panels. There is a short but detailed description on video at YouTube about each panel! The NGL laser is the first affordable full featured laser that allows you to make full back full front designs highly profitable yet totally reasonably priced for your clients! 3 color left chest tackle twill logo. Great for moisture management sportswear that tends to be a headache to embroider because it puckers so easily! Same deal here but one color. Notice that with both its nothing more than a running stitch and a laser cut! 235 Industrial Parkway, Unit 18, Aurora, Ontario, Canada, L4G 3V5 | Tel: 905-713-6514 Fax: 905-713-6506 www.permabosslaser.com email: info@permabosslaser.com © Permaboss.com Inc. 1999-2009 Classic reverse appliqué but in this case it’s a left chest sized one! You could never cut this by hand. The process is that you hoop your garment but you put the plaid material underneath the garment but above the embroidery backing. Usually we have a layer of foil so that we can quickly cut the shirt on the front but not let the laser through to the plaid or what every material you choose. You can easily clean out both after the fact and even with the cleaning, it’s still faster and cheaper than a traditional stitch out and this is once again something your competitor can’t do unless they invest in the NGL laser! These are all 100% etching then using the laser to cut the patches out. This is a great way to get details and little ® or ™ marks in to the design. You would use synthetic suede to crate this look. It gets darker when it’s etched. Using these, you can now go back to the old appliqué method and put them onto caps. You do that by sewing the outline and placing the patch on that outline using a bit of stick spray then doing a running stitch to tack it down and possibly a satin stitch to finish it off. Caps are curved, and for that reason, you can do them on the laser. These same patches are used on left sleeves and left chests of various wearables obviously. The nice tone on tone effect is very subtle, classic, and best of its entire FAST to make, just a few seconds on the laser and it’s done! 235 Industrial Parkway, Unit 18, Aurora, Ontario, Canada, L4G 3V5 | Tel: 905-713-6514 Fax: 905-713-6506 www.permabosslaser.com email: info@permabosslaser.com © Permaboss.com Inc. 1999-2009 Here you have a 4” design that took less than 1 minute to make. It is laser etching into micro fleece or polar fleece. Think about it, the wholesale price of this decoration is $1.75, that’s $105/hr when the industry average for embroidery is under $43/hr. This is a direct on garment patch. There is a lot of business catering to state and federal government contracts and in 2009 it was specified that these are not to be “Made in China” anymore but rather made in USA. Without the laser, this would not be possible or even close to profitable. The video on the web shows how rocket fast this can be made using the NGL laser! It’s important to stress that the Permaboss laser IS for corporate wear and logos. The last few were showing what I call resort where but don’t forget all the corporate things that were included above!
