MS DIFFERENETIATED FIELD TRIPS
Meaningful Experiences and Wonderful Moments to Remember
By: Ms. Aida A. Gomez
Sharing good memories create positive affirmation. It is interesting to note that Manresa School faculty,
staff, maintenance, members of administration and F.I. Sisters gladly enjoyed their year-end educational
trip this summer 2015. And our hearts are full of thanksgiving to the F.I. Sisters of Manresa School who
have provided us the differentiated field trips. It was the first time that the school personnel were given
the option to choose the educational field trip based on the number of years in service. Those non–
tenured were offered to join the Cebu trip, and those who are in their 5 to 14 years were offered to join
the Davao trip, while those personnel who were serving the school for more than 15 years were offered
to join the Asian trip in Korea. Furthermore, as one of the benefits of the personnel, the school had a big
share of the transportation and accommodation fees to those who participated in the differentiated
trips last summer. There were 15 school personnel and 3 Sisters who joined in Korea , 44 school
personnel joined Sr. Lynn, F.I. in Davao and 18 joined Sr. Lorena , F.I. in Cebu. It was really a blessing
from God because of the generosity of the F.I. Sisters headed by Sr. Emelinda C. Falsis, F.I.
After all the hard works throughout the school year 2014-2015, as one family, we had a fun -filled and
very relaxing moments in that educational trip. Indeed Sr. Lynn’s leadership in creating a pleasant
organizational climate where there is joy, respect, fraternal love, and strong community spirit in that
educational trip is so admiring.
The summer recreational activities did not only allow us to unwind but more so, we were enriched in
the different places we have visited. The participants also appreciated much the cultural heritage of
Cebu, Davao and South Korea. Similarly, everyone enjoyed watching the beautiful sceneries and taking
pictures for souvenir. It was also an exciting an enjoyable opportunity to meet different kinds of people.
With this meaningful summer trip, one would really say how great is God‘s love for us through those
wonderful creations He gave us. This moment in our life is a treasure, something we shall always
remember where God was with us in our happy and fruitful experiences.
We thank Manresa School and all the F.I. Sisters in the community for their gift of generosity. We
thank each other’s company and sincere friendship we have shared together. Most of all we thank
God for His presence among us, the safe trip He provided us, our good health, the nice weather we
enjoyed, and that summer vacation where everyone felt relaxed, revitalized and extra joyful. Finally, I
would like to say that what we have experienced this summer is God’s grace to us… and grace is
always God’s love.
