We are officially announcing the Brooks & Brooks Foundation/Pacific Lodge
Youth Services CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT, to be held on March 23, 2015,
at the Woodland Hills Country Club. These two incredible 501 (c) (3) non-profit
organizations partnered in 2011 and are now hosting their 1st annual charity golf
tournament.
WHO WE ARE:
The Brooks & Brooks Foundation is a national brand that can connect your business to a strong and
influential demographic of consumers. Established in 2000, the Foundation empowers children and
families through innovative seminars and workshops, leadership trainings, community outreach,
and joint ventures in the community. The Brooks & Brooks Foundation offers one of the largest family
empowerment resource databases for advancing families in need. The Foundation’s clients include
private and public schools, women’s organizations, teachers, libraries, churches, synagogues,
charitable organizations and corporations. The newest addition is the “Parenting with Love” tour,
teaching parents how to build stronger parent-child relationships through healthy communication
based on love and patience. The Brooks & Brooks Foundation’s new brand includes seminars, blogs,
coaching, virtual courses, workshops, conferences, retreats, webinars, expos, books, and golf
tournaments.
Pacific Lodge Youth Services was founded in 1923 at the request of a juvenile court judge seeking
alternatives to incarceration and detention. Pacific Lodge’s mission of “building productive lives”
continues to express our vision for California’s at-risk youth (aged 13-18). Without proper treatment,
education and training, their future for a happy and healthy life is limited. Our vision is to change the
outcome for each child placed in our care. Pacific Lodge focuses on the treatment of boys who
have experienced severe neglect, abuse and trauma in their lives. All of our clients are in foster
care and almost all come from lower socio-economic communities. Our clients struggle daily with
psychological, emotional and behavioral problems. The lodge provides quality, age-appropriate,
accessible treatment needed to assess and treat these boys effectively. Pacific Lodge’s mission and
vision is to provide these youth and their families with a supportive and therapeutic residential
environment.
HOW THE FUNDS WILL BE USED:
Brooks & Brooks Foundation will use the funds raised at the CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT to
provide essentials to foster children (birth to 18 years), new musical instruments and equipment for
Cleveland High School in Reseda, establish an athletic program for 450 students attending Ingenium
Charter School in Canoga Park, and educational supplies and resources for Reseda Elementary
School.
Pacific Lodge will use the funds raised to support the continued expansion of Ben’s House,
a Transitional Housing Program. This program is aimed at providing services for young adults, aged
18-24, who have transitioned out of the foster care system and are living independently, going to
college or working. Pacific Lodge is currently in the process of expanding services from 6 to 36 clients
by summer of 2015.
Your sponsorship will not only change the lives of many children and families, but will also provide
your company with print and radio exposure, prominent mention at the many Brooks & Brooks
Foundation events, extensive recognition at the tournament, all while enjoying a great day of golf at
the Woodland Hills Country Club. This event will include a 4-person Bramble, breakfast, a BBQ lunch,
prizes, on-course contests, and an awards reception and dinner.

Community Projects
Teacher Appreciation
Parent Empowerment
Teachers spend $1.5 billion of their own
money annually on school supplies.
Through our Teacher Appreciation Program
we provide sponsorship for 100 special
education teachers annually to help offset
this cost.
“Parenting with Love” is a comprehensive
and culturally relevant program that
provides workshops, ebooks, coaching,
expos and conferences, all provided free
of charge to over 5,000 low-income
parents throughout the San Fernando
Valley and Los Angeles Area annually.
Foster Care
Children
California has the
largest foster care
population than
any other state.
Most children are
placed in foster
care temporarily
due to parental
abuse or neglect. Through the generous
support of our sponsors, we are able to
empower and provide resources such as
clothing and educational resources to over
2000 children annually.
Homeless
Families
There is a common
misconception that
homelessness is an
issue that only
pertains to single men and women, but in
reality, thousands of families a year will
experience homelessness.
Homelessness is a devastating experience
for families. It disrupts virtually every
aspect fo family life, damaging the
physical and emotional health of family
members, interfering with children’s
education and development, and
frequently resulting in the separation
of family members. With the support
of our outstanding teen volunteers
we are able to care for over 1000
homeless families monthly.

The program at Pacific Lodge provides a safe, predictable, organized and supportive

“Working with Brooks & Brooks Foundation has been such an enlightening experience for me.
Being able to not just help out my community and those around me but also countries around the
world, has really given me a sense of purpose and drive. Yvonne has taught us that we can really
make a difference, every little thing counts. She has opened my eyes to the reality that happens
everyday, thousands of homeless people including teens and children who have left their abusive
homes in dire need. Unlike other charities I have worked with, Yvonne meets with us and forms a
relationship with all her volunteers and friends. It’s not just a charity, it’s a family. She is so passionate about her work and it encourages everyone around her to do their best to help in whatever way
they can. The Brooks & Brooks Foundation is a personal community of hardworking people determined to change the world to make a better place for all, no matter who those people are or where
they may live.” – Taylor 2012
“The only way I would be able to describe this entire experience is a rollercoaster that never
stopped. The one thing that has somehow remained constant is the never ending wave of support
from the staff that is employed here. The reason I want to graduate the program is so that one day I
can look back at this bad time in my life and say that despite my circumstances I made something of
myself. That I accomplished my goals. Thank you Pacific Lodge.” – David, 16 years old
