DAY 02
HALF DAY EXCURSION CITY TOUR PUERTO VARAS & PUERTO MONTT
Puerto Montt is the capital of the Lake District. Located on the northern tip of the vast Reloncaví Channel
and with its harbor protected by the Tenglo Island, the city spreads along a narrow seaboard. This city is the legacy
of the German immigrants and a place full of port and urban life.
The tour begins right after being picked from your hotel in Puerto Varas, to meet this city known as the City of
Roses because of its beautiful gardens, while grasping its lovely architecture, legacy of the German immigrants. The
city was founded in 1854 as a lake port and outlet for the district’s products to Puerto Montt. This is a thriving, wellkept city with rose bushes on the streets and a privileged view across the Llanquihue Lake toward the Osorno
Volcano.
THE LAKES REGION

the first plane of the city, then go to the Cathedral, completely made of larch and one of its columns holds the

and the Relocaví Bay.
