Dear Pratt Families,
Upcoming Events
May19: Field Day, Luxton Park
May 19: PTO meeting. Pizza at 5:30, Meeting
at 6
We are wrapping up another successful
school year. It seems so long ago that we
were eating lunch in the hallways and teaching art and music in the classrooms. This year
we welcomed new staff and families and our
focus continues to be providing an education
that supports all learners.
When the next school year begins we will be
looking to expand the opportunities for families to be involved.
Our Site Council will change its name to the Pratt School Advisory
Council in hopes that the purpose of the group is clearer to our
school community. We will need parent representatives to serve
on this council and will share more information about that in the
coming months.

Physical Education with Ms. Hoppe
This month Pratt students have been
finishing up the unit on learning
various elements of music including dynamics, tempo, conducting,
composing, as well as learning about
timbre and the various instruments of
the orchestra.
WOW!! What a great year we had in Physical Education class .The students
have grown in so many ways, improving their fitness knowledge, levels, motor
skills, and sport related skills. We have worked and played hard doing many
fun cooperative activities.
Additionally, Grades 3, 4 and 5 have
been practicing a couple songs in
preparation for their final performance at the Ice Cream Social!! G3-5
will perform at 6:30pm May 29 at the
Ice Cream Social. Come and enjoy the
music!
Congratulations on earning over $1,000 in our first Jump Rope for Heart event.
Can you believe the students jogged/walked 8,663 miles so far: with 210 students having earned their T-shirts for 25 miles, 20 students earning the water
bottle for 50 miles, 3 students at 75 miles, and 1 student at 100 miles or more

Donate books for summer
The library is looking for donations in order to
send books home with some of our students this
summer.
Please only donate recent books in good or very
good condition (free of marking, complete with all
the pages). Due to dust and mold allergies in our
student body (and myself), please refrain from
donating books that might have sat several years
on a shelf and/or in a basement.
