Our mission is to provide disruptive chemistry solutions for agricultural, household, and professional pest control that are safe, environmentally benign and have improved performance. Role Description Reporting directly to the company’s CTO, this is a full-time position to manage Provivi’s rapidly evolving need for effective state-of-the-art facilities to serve its R&D requirements. The successful candidate will have experience with laboratory build-out and maintenance, equipment procurement and maintenance, as well as supplies procurement. The candidate will be flexible and fulfill other duties as needed and expected in a start-up environment. Responsibilities Include • Ensures that the facility meets all requirements of the R&D team and management. • Initiates and/or maintains relationships with utilities and service providers as well as vendors and maintenance providers of equipment and supplies. • Gathers requirements from internal stakeholders and management to estimate a facilities budget and schedule, and manages any required the build-out program. • Defines and implements processes for building and equipment maintenance, equipment calibration, and laboratory hygiene. • Initiates and/or manages contracts and relationships with suppliers and service providers to ensure cost effectiveness and operational continuity. • Supports the company’s EH&S programs by interfacing with the company’s Chemical and Biological Hygiene Officer, as required. • Defines and implements processes for laboratory equipment and trains personnel its use. • Ensures that all personnel is aware of any changes related to facilities and/or equipment that affects them. • Coordinates the ordering of R&D supplies and services to ensure cost effectiveness and operational continuity. • Fulfills other duties as needed and expected in a start-up environment. Qualifications & Skills Include • Self-starting individual with strong project management capability, technical aptitude, people skills, and serious commitment to the development and deployment of Provivi’s technology. • Industrial project management experience. Experience in managing projects according to tight deadlines, demanding requirements, and limited budgets. Proven track record of achievement while working in a complex and changing environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Good judgment for how to trade schedule, cost and quality in managing projects and effectively communicate status and issues throughout the team. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multiple tasks. Ability to conduct work with initiative, persistence and bring projects to closure on established timelines. Effective organization and interpersonal skills. Ideally, the candidate will have served in growing companies and supported laboratory expansion activities.
