Dear Prospective Guests,
On behalf of Princeton Theological Seminary through its faculty, students, and
administrators, we warmly greet you. We are looking forward to getting to know each of
you and sharing in your adventures as you discern your sense of call to ministry.
Visiting theological institutions in your discernment process is a challenging yet
rewarding experience. At PTS, one confronts various, at times competing visions of what
ministry is all about. Given the fact that our student body is representative of all fifty
states, 39 countries, and over 30 denominations, students encounter a wide array of
cultural and theological perspectives far away from the comforts of home. In these few
days it will be challenging, but you will have an opportunity to grow through your time
here, as you speak with current students, audit classes and meet faculty. As well, we look
forward to hearing of your experiences and how your call is influenced by your
contextual (cultural, denominational, geographic) experiences.
It is our hope that the L.I.V.E. Symposium will be helpful as you ask questions, receive
information, worship among us, and develop new friendships. We are honored to be part
of this journey with you. Know that we are here to answer questions or concerns that you
may have. It is our goal to respond as clearly and honestly as possible.
For our fifteenth installment of the L.I.V.E. Symposium we are introducing the Spring
Diversity Colloquia on Race and Gender Equity. We are inviting practitioners and
academicians from across the country as pertinent issues will be examined directly.
Remember, you are not a guest—you are family, so do not be shy, but be encouraged to
partake in all that this opportunity has to offer.
In Christ,
Rev. Victor Aloyo, Jr.
Chief Diversity Administrator
& Director of Multicultural Relations
