POSITION TITLE: DEPARTMENT: FLSA STATUS: International Business Consultant Sales Exempt POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision of the President and CEO, executes international business development plans, develop distributor relationships, conducts direct sales activities, and supports all international initiatives of the company. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Establishes sales territories, quotas and advises dealers, distributors, and clients concerning advertising techniques • Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, develops sales campaigns to meet sales goals in Region • Develops and executes international plans, develops marketing plans, and establishes strong relationships with assigned international partners to achieve goals • Conducts sales training outside of territory as required and approved • Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and plans, by distributor, to assist in promoting sales • Represents the Company at trade association events, educational programs, and courses to promote products • Assists other departments within the organization to prepare manuals and technical publications as required by market • Tracks and manages costs, budgets and expenses and works within established budgets • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required • Engages and provides service to direct clients • Recommends support activities to assist international partners in carrying out their plans • Manages and develops business relationships with DoDEA schools and American International schools overseas • Understands and assists in management of US government export policy and regulations • Works closely with operations to ensure successful customer and partner deliveries • Provides input to management for significant order sizes requiring inventory adjustments and planning • Provides quote and purchase order input and executes generation of all quotes and purchase orders for the international department • Provides complete sales support for internal and external clients for the International department in a timely and accurate fashion • Assists finance as necessary to ensure that customers are paying their invoices • Acts as a first point of contact for customers with any queries or problems, and ensures that clients receive full and efficient sales service • Maintains comprehensive records of correspondence with clients and all other relevant information • Liaison regarding commercial rights in terms of product deliveries overseas; identifies difficulties in the rights or clearance process • Produces standard and non-standard contracts from information provided by the department ensuring they are sent out to the client, returned by deadlines, and files accordingly • Travels internationally as needed (less than 25% of time) • Performs other duties as assigned or required Page | 1 International Business Consultant Rev. 04/2015 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: • Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills • Excellent written communication skills • Strong applied knowledge of standard business applications (e.g., MS Office Suite) to perform analyses, present business data and information, and inform decision-making processes • Strong work ethic coupled with top-notch organizational skills • Strong telephone etiquette to enhance relationships with customers REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Sales Channel Management or International Relations or equivalent work experience • Onshore/Offshore sales experience with minimum of $2M annual quota • Four (4) years of working experience in sales or marketing • Must have a valid driver’s license • Ability to travel internationally (have valid passport) DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Prior sales management experience (specifically channel management) • Two (2) or more years of international business development or sales experience • Fluent in Spanish or other foreign languages • Experience with SalesLogix TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Limited international travel of less than 10% required ABOUT REALITYWORKS, INC.: Realityworks develops experiential learning products that change lives.
