It's since been removed. Drake's camp is still trying to clear samples on the track "So Far Gone" and his two other mixtapes. His manager, Al Branch, tells Billboard, "This is a straight bootleg, a scandal. We are behind promoting records at radio, but haven't sold it." Had it not been disqualified because it hasn't been officially released, The Girls Love Drake would have debuted last week at number-101 on the Billboard 200, number-16 on the Digital Albums chart and number-one on the Heatseekers tally. -- Jamila Daniel KELIS: Nas a Coward and a Cheat? (audio) (Posted 3:00 AM, 6/8/2009) Here's our tri-weekly gossip audio update from MediaTakeOut-dot-com, the hottest hip-hop site on the web. Is R-&-B singer Usher stepping out on his wife Tameka Foster? Well that's what it's starting to look like. Over the weekend, Usher was photoed bringing a woman out of his Los Angeles hotel room at one o'clock in the morning. Usher's people claim that it was just a business meeting and the woman was just Usher's "product manager." But MediaTakeout did some digging and found out that the woman in question is a Def Jam executive named Grace. That's interesting for two reasons. First, Usher's label is Arista, not Def Jam. It's not clear what business they needed to conduct at one o'clock in the morning. Here's another interesting twist -- Grace is 42 years old, and you know about Usher and those older women. Right now it's still too early to tell what Usher's up to, but if we were Tameka Foster, we'd have our eye on our boo. Guys, it looks like there might be a 1-0-6 and wedding. Rumors are swirling all over Turks and Caicos that Rocsi, the host of B-E-T's 1-0-6 and Park, may be taking Lisa Raye's place. According to a number of people on the island, Rocsi and Michael Misick, the millionaire former head of the Turks and Caicos and Lisa Raye's ex-husband, are looking very much in engaged. The couple was spotted all over the island this weekend holding hands and taking in the scenery. And Rocsi had a huge diamond on her left hand. CARRADINE FAMILY WANTS FBI HELP David Carradine's family has asked the F-B-I to assist Thai authorities investigating the actor's death. The F-B-I, which doesn't have jurisdiction in foreign countries, has contacted investigators, but so far there's no word if they'll allow the bureau to help. Thai police have confirmed that Carradine, 72, was found in the closet of his hotel room naked with a rope tied around his neck and another around his genitals. According to the A-P, police official Worapong Chewprecha says, "It is unclear whether he committed suicide or not, or he died of suffocation or heart failure." Meanwhile, the Carradine family is upset over leaked photos of the Kung Fu star's body have surfaced in a Thai tabloid. Beth Jacobsen's affidavit says loan officers convinced black customers who could have qualified for prime loans into subprime mortgages. She added that the company used black churches as a marketing tool. Roughly eight times as many African-American Wells Fargo customers hold suprime loans compared to whites with comparable incomes. Another loan officer stated in an affidavit filed last week that Wells Fargo employees referred to blacks as "mud people" and to subprime lending as "ghetto loans." BIRTHDAY PROFILE: Kanye West (audio) (Posted 3:00 AM, 6/8/2009) Kanye West was born June 8th, 1977 in Atlanta but raised in Chicago, where he attended the International Academy of Art and Design and Technology and Chicago State University. He dropped out of college to pursue his career as a producer and rapper. West's first big production job was Jay-Z's "Izzo (H-O-V-A)," followed by the Nas and Prodigy diss track "Takeover" from The Blueprint album. But that strong start was interrupted on October 23rd, 2002, when West was in a near-fatal car accident. After a long recovery, during which his mouth was wired shut, he made his debut as a rapper with "Through the Wire." He dropped The College Dropout album on Roc-a-Fella in 2004. His follow-up, Late Registration, appeared in August 2005 and sold more than 900-thousand units in its first week. The album spun off the hit singles "Diamonds From Sierre Leone" and "Gold Digger" featuring Jamie Foxx. West has won six Grammys and has worked with Twista, Chamillionaire, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Ludacris, Dilated Peoples, Mariah Carey, Miri Ben Ari, Common, The Game and John Legend. In addition, he operates the G-O-O-D (Getting Out Our Dreams) Music label, which released Legend's Get Lifted and Common's Be. Other artists signed to the label include G-L-C, Consequence, Really Doe, Sa-Ra Creative Partners and Farnsworth Bentley. Kanye West was a big winner at the 2007 Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards in London, taking the Best Hip-Hop Artist and Best Video ("Stronger") awards. In September 2007, his Graduation outsold 50 Cent's Curtis, posting the best first-week sales of any album in two years. The disc moved 957-thousand copies, the largest debut for any album since 50's The Massacre in 2005. West's mother Donda died on November 10th in Los Angeles after cosmetic surgery. On November 20th, 2007, Kanye buried her in Spencer, Oklahoma, near her birthplace. John Legend, Anita Baker, Common, Jay-Z and Beyonce were among those in attendance. Legend and Baker performed. (When the autopsy results were announced in January 2008, her death was attributed to "coronary artery disease and multiple post-operative factors due to or as a consequence of liposuction and mammoplasty (breast reduction surgery)." That month, Kanye and stuntman Evel Knievel announced the settlement of Knievel's lawsuit over the video for 'Touch the Sky" -- in which the rapper portrays a stuntman named "Evel Kanyevel." Knievel had claimed that West tarnished his image by using "vulgar, sexual and racially questionable content" in the video, which also starred Pamela Anderson. In February 2008, Kanye won four Grammys, including Best Rap Album for Graduation disc. In April 2008, he split from fiancee Alexis Phifer. Kanye's fourth disc, 2008's 8-0-8s and Heartbreak, was a departure from his previous hip-hop heavy discs. Including the lead single "Love Lockdown," the songs were more alternative and featured Kanye's Auto-tune-enhanced vocals. The disc is believed to document his split with Phifer.
