April 10, 2015 Riverside Book Swap & City Light Book Drive The annual Riverside Book Swap will take place April 20th through April 24th. This is a great way to receive some new reading material and is also an opportunity to provide books to homeless children in Boise. Please select gently used books at or above your reading level. You may donate as many as ten books. You will get to choose one fewer book than you donate, receiving up to a maximum of five books in exchange. The remaining books will be donated to City Light Home to provide reading material for the homeless children they serve. Book swap forms will be distributed to each student in their Friday Folder. Please deposit your books and completed book swap forms in bins located outside of your classroom April 20 – 24 to participate. Distribution of books will be the following Tuesday, April 28th. Please contact Wendy Zerza at 383-3461 or zerza@cableone.net with any questions. Box Tops for Education Thank you to all the students and parents that have clipped and supported Box Tops for Education at Riverside this year. We have raised $995.00 so far. Our goal of $1,000.00 this year is within reach. We will continue to collect and submit Box Tops through the end of the school year. Riverside will be paid for these later submissions in the 2015 – 2016 school year. We truly appreciate your efforts and support this year. So keep clipping! 2 Riverside Newsletter April 10, 2015 PTO Volunteers We are currently recruiting parent volunteers for the 2015 – 2016 school year.
